“Nakornthon” Transforms into Healthcare Ecosystem and Builds Connected Healthcare System, Penetrating the Silver Economy to Fulfill Every Stage of Life

Nakornthon Hospital Group has announced its vision to elevate itself into a “Healthcare Ecosystem,” a healthcare network that extends beyond mere medical treatment during illness to becoming a “Health Partner” for every family. This strategic shift is designed to support Thailand’s aging society megatrend, leveraging the hospital’s core strengths in specialized medical teams and advanced technologies for treating complex diseases. By expanding into new business portfolios, Nakornthon aims to fulfill every stage of life.

Emphasizing a 3-Core Strategy for Seamlessly Connected Care

Assoc. Prof. Yandhet Thongsima, Chairman of the Board of Directors, revealed that Nakornthon Hospital was founded with the commitment to providing everyone with accessible, convenient, and high-quality medical services. This covers both preventive care and the treatment of complex diseases, ensuring that local residents do not have to travel long distances while still receiving reliable, standardized treatment. This philosophy has become the foundation that has allowed the organization to grow alongside the community for 30 years, leading to the strategic positioning as a “Health Partner” that elevates care standards across all projects. The hospital offers holistic, multidisciplinary care covering both body and mind to create a continuous care experience for all ages.

“This transition is not just about increasing the number of hospitals, but about designing a continuous healthcare system—from prevention and treatment to long-term quality of life care—so that patients do not have to start over every time they seek care,” said Assoc. Prof. Yandhet.

Assoc. Prof. Yandhet added that this concept has driven the development of the group’s business structure into a Healthcare Ecosystem that seamlessly connects services, divided into three main pillars. The first pillar is Nakornthon Hospital, which aims for excellence in treating complex diseases using advanced medical technology. This is strengthened by the second pillar, Nakornthon 2 Hospital (Ekachai-Kanchanaphisek), which opened on December 12, 2025, to expand service access to the community and prepare to support patients under the Social Security Scheme in 2027. Lastly, the third pillar features the “Nakornthon Long Life Center by Chersery Home,” a holistic care project for the elderly and dependent individuals, which is scheduled to open within 2026.

Elevating Quality of Life through the “Active Aging” Concept

Dr. Siremon Thongsima, Director of Medical Affairs of Nakornthon Hospital, added that in the context of Thailand becoming a fully aged society, future healthcare systems cannot measure success solely by “curing illnesses.” Instead, they must focus on enabling people to maintain a good quality of life for as long as possible. Recognizing this trend, Nakornthon developed the “Nakornthon Long Life Center by Chersery Home” to specifically cater to elderly and long-term care needs.

This center embraces the “Active Aging” concept, which merges safe environment design (Universal Design) with personalized rehabilitation and physical therapy programs. This approach ensures the elderly can live meaningfully, remain self-reliant, and live according to their own choices. Furthermore, activities are designed to boost self-esteem and confidence, even during medical treatments. Patients are encouraged to participate in their own health decisions, ensuring that healthcare is not just about treatment, but about living a high-quality life at every stage.

“We intend for this project to be another option to relieve the burden on the ‘sandwich generation’ who must care for both their children and aging parents simultaneously. We offer day care services as well as residential stays, coupled with personalized preventive healthcare. This empowers the ‘pillars of the family’ to balance caring for everyone stably while passing on sustainable well-being to all family members,” Dr. Siremon explained.

Concurrently, Nakornthon’s core hospital business remains firmly rooted in its strength in treating complex conditions, including neurological and brain diseases, heart diseases, spinal conditions, and cancer. A multidisciplinary team of specialized physicians and healthcare professionals serves as the heartbeat of this care, supported by continuous investment in medical technology to elevate treatment and long-term medical outcomes.

In addition, the hospital prioritizes delivering care “with a human heart” by designing services that understand patients’ physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs. This ensures that treatment is not just a medical process, but a caring experience that fosters trust and peace of mind for both patients and their families.

Marking 2026: Strategically Pursuing the Medical Tourism Market

Regarding the 2026 roadmap, Dr. Siremon stated that the hospital aims for growth driven by three key projects: continuous revenue recognition from Nakornthon 2 Hospital, the launch of “Nakornthon Long Life Center by Chersery Home,” and the expansion of VIP inpatient wards to accommodate more patients. Meanwhile, the hospital also aims to increase revenue from international patients, currently supported by an expat base from China and fly-in from Myanmar, with plans to expand into new markets like Bangladesh.

In terms of marketing, Nakornthon has continuously adjusted its strategy toward Digital Health to align with consumer behaviors that demand convenience, speed, and easy access to health data. The hospital aims to elevate the healthcare experience to match urban lifestyles by developing accessible digital channels. This includes online health package purchases, advance bookings, and Telemedicine services that allow patients to consult doctors anytime, anywhere.

This is supported by communications using easy-to-understand, youth-friendly content, such as short videos on TikTok, making healthcare simple, accessible, and integrated into daily life.

“In the future, we do not want to be just a hospital you visit when you are sick. We are transforming from a hospital network into a ‘Health Partner’ for families throughout their lifetime—a place people think of when they want to achieve good health, not just during illness, to truly fulfill every stage of life,” Dr. Siremon concluded.
