Bangchak Continues Support of “Royal Project 56” for the Second Year Reflecting Commitment to Sustainable Growth Rooted in His Majesty the King’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy

The Royal Project Foundation, in collaboration with Kasetsart University, Central Pattana Public Company Limited, CentralWorld, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, and Phandee Plastic Company Limited, held a press conference to announce the upcoming “Royal Project 56” under the theme “Farm To City: Farmtime Stories – The Benevolence from the Sky to the City.” The event is held in honor of His Majesty the King, Honorary President of the Royal Project Foundation, and Her Majesty the Queen, while also paying tribute to the boundless royal grace of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, founder of the Royal Project Foundation. It also commemorates the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on 12 August 2025.

The press conference was led by General Kampanat Ruddit, Privy Councillor, Secretary-General, and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Royal Project Foundation, in his capacity as Chairman of the Organizing Committee for “Royal Project 56.”

He was joined by Dr. Damrong Sriphram, Acting President of Kasetsart University and Chairman of the Subcommittee for Event Support, Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana Plc., and Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Plc., at CentralWorld.

Mrs. Gloyta spoke about Bangchak’s continued support for the Royal Project for the second year, stating: “As a Thai energy company with over 40 years of operation, now entering its fifth decade and expanding into five business groups across more than 10 countries worldwide, Bangchak has been guided by the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, managing the organization with moderation, reasonableness, and self-immunity – on the foundations of knowledge and virtue. This approach drives innovative business development, enabling responsiveness to both economic opportunities and rapid global transformation. The company has carried forward His Majesty’s initiatives on renewable energy by developing biofuels that support sustainable transportation across land (B100 and HVO or Green Diesel), sea (B24 Marine Biofuels), and air (SAF – Sustainable Aviation Fuel), alongside concrete climate action efforts to address the climate crisis. In addition, Bangchak has co-developed a learning center on renewable energy at the Chang Hua Man Royal Project in Phetchaburi Province, including the installation of solar power systems and a biodiesel production unit, serving as a model for farmers and visitors to learn about sustainable living and renewable energy in alignment with the royal initiatives.

The company places strong emphasis on promoting local employment, income generation, and self-reliance. For example, it has established “Community Service Stations” managed by agricultural cooperatives, benefiting over one million households since 1990. Since 1998, Bangchak has also supported local communities by sourcing regional products to be offered as customer gifts at its service stations. The company continues to enhance quality of life both in its operational areas and nationwide, driving various social initiatives, including the founding of the Baimai Punsuk Foundation and Oam Suk Social Enterprise, to support livelihoods, education, and the environment. Bangchak also fosters a culture of social responsibility among employees through the employee culture: “to be virtuous, knowledgeable, and contributive to others”. Employee development focuses not only on modern skills but also on nurturing a strong sense of responsibility and public mindedness, reflecting the company’s deep commitment to sustainable growth alongside society and the environment.

Inthanin, the coffee brand under Bangchak Retail Company Limited, a Bangchak Group affiliate, has developed a specialty coffee product called “Single Origin Doi Mae Salong”, a premium medium-roast Arabica coffee sourced from cultivation areas within the Royal Project Highland Development initiative. The brand promotes sustainable, chemical-free farming practices to help restore ecosystems, expand forested areas, and support the livelihoods of highland farmers. This initiative aligns with the philosophy of “The King’s Coffee”, advancing the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Royal Project Fair 56 will be held from 1–12 August 2025 at CentralWorld, featuring highlights such as “Carrying on Father’s Legacy: From the Mountains to the Metropolis”, 12 Ready-to-Cook Signature Menus curated by MasterChef and Iron Chef Thailand, over 3,000 Highland Products available for tasting and purchase, and food booths from the Royal Project Kitchen.
