Mr. Chokchai Atsawarangsalit, Chief Transformation and Synergy Realization Officer, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, participated in the launch of the Thailand AI Readiness Index (TARI), the country’s first AI readiness assessment framework for organizations. The initiative was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), through the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO),in collaboration with AIS Academy and IRIS Consulting.
Bangchak joined the initiative to demonstrate its commitment to advancing Thailand’s AI readiness, supporting organizations in developing practical AI capabilities that deliver tangible business outcomes, and fostering collaboration through the ARC Community to accelerate AI adoption across Thailand’s business sector toward an innovation-driven digital economy.
The TARI framework serves as a common national benchmark for systematically assessing AI readiness across organizations, business functions, and individuals. It evaluates eight key dimensions: AI strategy and leadership; data management; technology and infrastructure; AI talent and skills; governance and risk management; AI use cases and business value creation; organizational culture and change management; and bridging the AI value gap to achieve measurable business outcomes.
The event also featured a keynote address on Thailand’s AI development vision by Professor Dr. Yodchanun Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), as well as panel discussions with representatives from the public and private sectors and AI experts on organizational readiness for the AI era.
