Agoda Names 2025 Gold Circle Awards Winners in Thailand with Bangkok in the Lead

Thailand shares third place globally with Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai standing out for operational excellence and digital strength

Digital travel platform Agoda announced the winners of its 2025 Gold Circle Awards recognizing over 3,000 hotel partners globally for leading in operational excellence within Agoda’s ecosystem. Now in its 17th edition, Agoda’s Gold Circle Awards celebrate properties that consistently deliver high guest standards, maintain strong digital engagement and stay adaptable. Thailand placed joint third in Agoda’s awards ranking this year, alongside Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Indonesia, reflecting strong partner recognition across a highly competitive region.

Within Thailand, winners were concentrated in the country’s key leisure and business hubs. Bangkok recorded close to 100 award-winning properties, maintaining its position as Thailand’s strongest city for Gold Circle Award recognition, followed by Pattaya and Chiang Mai as the next leading cities by winner concentration. The results highlight how partners in Thailand’s most visited destinations continue to deliver consistently strong day-to-day execution, while staying digitally competitive in today’s ever‑evolving travel landscape.

Thailand’s continued strength in the rankings comes as regional travel patterns remain dynamic. With an 81% year-on-year growth in accommodation searches, Thailand remains popular among travelers across the region with increasingly diverse guest profiles. This creates an opportunity for accommodation partners to stand out through localization, from listing accuracy and language choices to amenity visibility and tailored communications that help guests quickly understand what to expect.

A celebration of the winners took place in Bangkok recently where Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mr. Nat Kruthasoot, highlighted the importance of public‑private collaboration in raising hospitality standards. During his congratulatory speech, he also pointed to the growing partnership between TAT and Agoda including the joint promotion of the Trusted Thailand emblem.

“Thailand’s Gold Circle Award winners show what consistent excellence looks like in practice,” said Akaporn Rodkong, Country Director, Thailand and Indochina at Agoda. “These partners stay disciplined on the operational basics while also executing strongly online, which helps travelers book with confidence and have a reliable experience on arrival. As interest in Thailand remains strong across the region, the hotels that stand out are the ones that keep standards high, stay responsive and make it easy for guests to choose them in a crowded marketplace. We are proud to recognize this year’s winners and we will keep investing in tools and support that help partners keep improving.”

Regional travel demand remains dynamic, with intra-Asia travel continuing to shape travel patterns across the region according to Agoda’s recent “Tailored to Win” report. As traveler profiles diversify and expectations for seamless digital experiences continue to rise, the Gold Circle Awards commends hotel partners that have maintained strong operational fundamentals, refining how they engage and convert travelers through Agoda’s platform at scale.
