Japanese New Year Mochitsuki Festival at Hotel Nikko Bangkok

To celebrate New Year’s Day on 1 January 2026, Hotel Nikko Bangkok hosted the Mochitsuki Festival, a cherished Japanese tradition that symbolizes good fortune, prosperity, good health, and the warmth of family, marking an auspicious beginning to the new year.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Visit Iamsheerangkoon, Chairman of the ceremony, together with the hotel’s board members Mr. Pipat Iamsheerangkoon, Mr. Hasdin Iamsheerangkoon, and Ms. Thipaporn Iamsheerangkoon, Managing Director.They warmly welcomed guests and families to take part in the traditional mochi-pounding ceremony and enjoy freshly made mochi, a ritual believed to bring luck and happiness throughout the year.

The festival atmosphere was filled with smiles, joy, and togetherness.Guests enjoyed a variety of family-friendly activities, including traditional games, star-pulling games, delightful mascot performances, and food booths featuring treats such as Hokkaido salt ice cream, along with special souvenirs prepared by the hotel.
