IHG Hotels & Resorts will host its fourth annual “IHG Run for Good” charity event at Vachirabenjatas Park (Suan Rot Fai) in Bangkok on Sunday, 20 September 2026, from 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. IHG hotels in Bangkok will once again bring together colleagues, guests and the local running community in support of a meaningful cause. Participants can choose from three race categories, with something for everyone: a 2 KM Walk & Run, a 4 KM Fun Run and a 9 KM Run.

Now in its fourth year, IHG Run for Good has established itself as a flagship community initiative delivering tangible impact year after year. Last year, the run raised THB 1,057,016 for the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. The Queen and funded a 3D Educational Material Production Machine that transformed recycled PET plastic into tactile learning tools for 2,000 visually impaired students across 16 schools nationwide. Nearly 7,000 participants across Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui came together in support of that journey toward a more inclusive future.
This year, IHG Run for Good turns its support toward a new frontier of accessibility, continuing its partnership with the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. The Queen.
“Having partnered with the Foundation for several years, we’ve developed a deeper understanding of the challenges facing Thailand’s visually impaired community and how we can create meaningful and lasting impact,” said Patrick Both, Director of Operations, Luxury & Lifestyle at IHG Hotels & Resorts Thailand. “That insight led us to support this year’s EyerisVision: EmpowerSight Project. These Thai-developed AI Smart Glasses, are built with a camera, microphone and simple tactile controls, and paired with a Thai-language AI app. They help users read Thai text, understand their surroundings, and move through their day with greater independence and safety. By addressing needs that many international existing solutions do not, this project has the potential to make a real difference in people’s lives, and we’re proud to support it.”
IHG Run for Good 2026 welcomes runners of all levels, with about 4,000 participants expected on the day. Registration is now open with registration fees are THB 550 per person for the 2 KM Walk & Run, THB 550 per person for the 4 KM Fun Run and THB 650 per person for the 9 KM Run. The registration fee includes an IHG Run for Good running shirt, a bag, a medal and a running bib; running shirts are also available for separate purchase at THB 350 each.
Age-group awards (male and female, under 40 and 40 and above) will be presented for the 9 KM category, with a total of 12 trophies and hotel vouchers up for grabs, and every finisher takes home a medal.
