Mr. Asae Sukyanga, President of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, revealed the success of Architect’69 under the concept “สติมา : ปัญญา : พร้อม(ท์) | SATI : WISDOM : PROMPT”, held at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani from 28 April – 3 May 2026. Over the 6-day event, a total of 328,576 visitors attended, comprising 64% Trade Visitors and 36% End Users. Covering more than 75,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event featured over 1,000 brands and more than 100,000 products and services related to design and construction from both domestic and international exhibitors, generating more than THB 22 billion in trade value. In addition, a large number of visitors continuously attended exhibitions and activities throughout the event. Altogether, these achievements reflected the outstanding success and pride of Thailand’s architectural exhibition as a major international event that continues to elevate the profession to global recognition while advancing toward its goal of becoming “The Most Influential Architecture Exhibition in ASEAN.”

The Association remains committed to supporting the advancement of the Thai architectural profession in all aspects to strengthen its competitiveness at the international level, while promoting the sustainable growth of architectural quality in Thailand amid rapid global change. The Association also opened submissions for the Architectural Design Awards 2026, which received a total of 92 entries. The committee selected the recipients of the Design Award, including Mitbury the Publice House designed by WOS Architects, O-NES Tower designed by THAI OBAYASHI DESIGN, and Vanich House designed by Physicalist. The Merit Award recipients included BAAN O+O designed by JUNSEKINO Architect and Design, The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) Headquarters designed by Architects 49, DFT Office designed by Stu/D/O Architects, and Nachan the Antique Courtyard Hotel designed by PAVA architects. All awarded projects were exhibited at Architect’69 and are regarded among the most prestigious recognitions and highest honors in architectural design in Thailand.
Mr. Jaturon Kingminghae, Chairman of Architect’69, further highlighted the success and overall achievements of this year’s event, which featured exhibitions, international seminars, and activities organized by professional associations that attracted strong interest from architects, construction industry professionals, as well as the general public, students, and university students, with many participants registering and walking in to attend seminars, exchange knowledge, and join various activities. These included ASA INTERNATIONAL FORUM, which invited internationally renowned architects to participate in 6 sessions, while ASA INSPIRATION LAB and Workshop featured 28 sessions led by leading architects and professionals sharing their experiences throughout the 6-day event, attracting a total of 2,045 participants. Another highly successful activity was ASA Experimental Design Competition 2026, a design competition under the concept “Hybridized Wisdoms: Architecture Across Multiple Intelligences”, which received a total of 412 submissions.
The competition received submissions from 19 countries worldwide. The winner of the Student Category was HYEMIN KIM for the project “Bamseom Cloning Project”, while the winner of the General Category was Team HOYRANLAGE for the project “The Liquid Uthan, A Hybridized Habitat for the Manta Swarm”. Another key activity was ASA Emerging 2026 : Young Architects In The Age Of New Disruptions, a platform for emerging architects and designers to exhibit and present their works, reflecting their potential, concepts, working approaches, and perspectives on the role of architects amid the changing context of Thai society, in order to select a representative of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage to participate in the 23rd ARCASIA Forum in India. The selected representative was Ms. Suttahathai Niyomwas from The City Connext.
For Architect’69, the organizing committee recognized the environmental and waste management challenges associated with large-scale exhibitions and therefore introduced the “ASA100 SUSTAINABLE : Towards Sustainable ASA Architect Expo” initiative to promote sustainable pavilion and booth design and construction, addressing environmental, economic, and branding objectives. The initiative aims to reduce waste generated from trade exhibitions, encourage exhibitors to align with ESG and CSR trends, and elevate the image of the event to international exhibition standards. The awards were divided into 4 categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention, with each category presented to both the product owner company and the architectural design company. For example, the Gold Award was presented to EDL Laminates Co., Ltd. and TTF International Co., Ltd., while the booth designer, Looklen Architects Co., Ltd., also received the award.
Architect’69 also placed strong emphasis on the use of technology and the implementation of exhibition waste management guidelines to maximize sustainability and environmental responsibility. Under the Reduce approach, exhibitors were encouraged to minimize the use of single-use plastics and paper by adopting digital systems for registration and product presentations instead of traditional printed brochures. Under the Reuse approach, exhibition and product display booth structures were designed for dismantling and reuse. For example, materials and construction components from the Association’s exhibition booths were dismantled and donated to Phitak Child Development Center (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration)
and Khlong Phra Udom School in Lat Lum Kaeo District, Pathum Thani. Additional items such as fruit crates from the ASA CLUB booth were donated to the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Department of Architecture, while ropes and other reusable materials were distributed to local women’s groups in provincial areas. On behalf of the Chairman of Architect’69, appreciation was extended to all exhibition partners, TTF International Co., Ltd., professional architectural organizations, supporting agencies, sponsors, and all visitors whose support contributed significantly to the success of the event.
Mr. Supaman Makka, Deputy Managing Director of TTF International Co., Ltd., the organizer of the event, stated that one of the major highlights this year was the “Thematic Pavilion”, a creative platform that allowed building material brands and design studios to collaboratively interpret “materials” through experiential architecture. This year featured 8 Thematic Pavilions, the highest number ever presented at Architect Expo, with each pavilion reflecting concepts of sustainability, technology, craftsmanship, and future design through new forms of audience engagement and experience. The 2026 Thematic Pavilion awards were presented in 2 categories, with the “Thematic Pavilion Designer Choice Award” awarded to “The Delta Stack Pavilion” by SCG x SaTa Na Architect. while the “Thematic Pavilion of the Year” award, determined by public voting from visitors throughout the 6-day exhibition, was presented to “TODĀ ARK” by TODĀ x Supermachine Studio.
Another area that attracted significant attention was the “Palette of Materials Pavilion”, a material exhibition presented in the form of a Mood Board, bringing together more than 800 actual material samples from the works of 40 design studios. The exhibition space was curated and designed by Looklen Architects to help visitors visualize the application of materials in real contexts, while also connecting visitors to exhibitor information and booth locations through a QR Code system, making the pavilion both a source of inspiration and a platform connecting designers and material manufacturers within the exhibition.
At the same time, the “Best Innovation Award 2026” served as another key platform reflecting new directions in the building materials and design industry through the selection of innovations that addressed functionality, creativity, and sustainability. This year, 16 brands participated in the competition, with the winning award presented to “DOS WIDERO Water Pac All in One” from DOS, an innovative water management system for modern homes designed to optimize functionality, space efficiency, and the use of 100% recycled materials. The 1st Runner-up award was presented to “3D Panel by recoplast” from Watsadu Niyom, while the 2nd Runner-up award went to “TOSTEM IN16 Series” from TOSTEM.
In addition, the event brought together products and innovations from leading global brands, covering categories ranging from construction materials, doors and windows, paints and chemical products, sanitary ware, wood and wood substitute materials, tiles and stone, water system technologies, lighting products, smart technologies, prefabricated structures, to sustainability-focused products and Passive Homes designed for energy efficiency, reflecting the industry’s growing direction toward design for quality of life and sustainability.
Following the success of this year’s event, many leading Thai and international brands have already confirmed their participation in Architect’70, including SCG, TOA, Makita, TODA, TOSTEM, DOS, Epson, Panel Plus, WDC, Häfele, aluframe, and many others, reflecting strong confidence among exhibitors in the role of Architect Expo as a key platform for the construction and design industry in the region.
“In the future, Architect Expo will not only serve as a platform for showcasing products and innovations, but also as a center connecting knowledge, business networks, and collaboration among stakeholders in the construction and design industry to jointly drive the Thai industry toward the future,” Mr. Supaman concluded.
Although Architect’69 has concluded, interested visitors can still revisit the atmosphere and featured products from the event through the Virtual Booth platform at https://virtual.architectexpo.com/tour/asa-expo-2026 , before preparing to welcome “Architect’70”, the 39th edition of ASEAN’s largest architecture technology and building products exposition, which will take place from 27 April – 2 May 2027 at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
