In recognition of World Mental Health Day, social wellness club Virgin Active Thailand has launched its global ‘#VirginActiveReset’ campaign, urging people all around the world, including Thai consumers to pause, recharge, and make rest an intentional part of their daily wellness routines.

The campaign highlights the growing need for balance in today’s always-on culture. According to a recent Virgin Active survey of 1,000 Thai consumers, more than half (55%) identified sleep and recovery as the most important area of wellness, followed by nutrition (42%) and mental well-being (40%). Yet despite this awareness, over two-thirds (70%) of respondents said they often feel constantly on the go and want to learn how to slow down to prevent burnout.
“Well-being isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity,” said Julien Bera, Country Director, Thailand and Singapore at Virgin Active. “In today’s fast-paced world, many of us have lost touch with the importance of slowing down and caring for our mental and emotional health. World Mental Health Day is a powerful reminder that true wellness extends far beyond physical fitness. It’s about finding balance, resilience, and peace of mind.”
“Our research shows that Thais are seeking ways to manage stress, improve rest, and recover both physically and mentally. Through the “Virgin Active Reset” campaign, we aim to create a space and a community where people can pause, recharge and prioritise their well-being without guilt and without pressure.”
The survey also found that sleep challenges are common: less than one in five (19%) reported feeling fully rested each morning, while around a third (37%) admitted their sleep struggles significantly impact their daily energy and focus. Despite this, only 21% of respondents intentionally dedicate time to recovery practices, such as meditation, foam rolling, or rest days, on a daily basis.
To help address this gap, Virgin Active Thailand is spotlighting its relaxation and recovery experiences, which go beyond traditional workouts. These include:
- Sound Bath classes to calm the nervous system and improve sleep quality.
- Yoga and Meditation sessions which are designed to reduce stress and sharpen focus.
- Himalayan Salt Inhalation Rooms that support respiratory health and provide a mindful escape from daily pressures.
- Zero-gravity technology Sleep Pods that feature ambient sounds and gentle vibrations to support short naps, leaving members recharged.
- Aqua Spa Pools, a key feature for holistic wellness, which aid relaxation and recovery.
- Ice and Steam Rooms to improve circulation, reduce muscle soreness, and boost the immune system, which can increase the body’s resilience to physical and mental stress.
- Experiential Showers that can promote a shift to a relaxed mental state after workouts.
