On July 25, the 2025 Hong Kong and Macao Youth Mainland Study Tour Alliance Conference was held in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province under the theme of “Search for Root, Chase Dream, Explore the Future Together”. Nearly a hundred youths from Macao SAR and Hong Kong SAR embarked on a five-day study tour in Liaoning.
This study tour program delved into Liaoning’s historical culture, red culture, industrial culture and other elements, and took advantage of Chaoyang and Shenyang as “city classrooms”. Eight thematic study tour courses were offered, such as “Ancient City of the Three Yan Kingdoms, Secrets of the Silk Road”, “Jade from Hongshan, Dawn of Civilization”, “Memories of Capital Shengjing, Resonance from History”, and “Inventions and Innovations of Superpower, Intelligence-driven Future”, among others. Through lectures, observations, discussions and experiences, Hong Kong and Macao youths will have the opportunity to understand Liaoning’s alpine and seaside sceneries, time-honored history, inspiring industrial civilization, colorful multi-ethnic society and vibrant development opportunities.
As one of the core areas exemplifying the pluralistic yet integrated framework of Chinese civilization, Liaoning Province, by leveraging its abundant cultural and tourism resources, enabled Macao and Hong Kong youths to step into history more than five thousand years old, touch the roots of Chinese civilization, rejoice in the ties of kinship, and comprehend the profundity of patriotism. In the future, Liaoning Province will use this event as a new start, continue to roll out study tour products, expand exchanges with Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, attract more Macao and Hong Kong youths to discover Liaoning and deepen their understanding of the motherland, and enable the seeds of cultural confidence to naturally grow and take root during the travels and appreciations of study tour programs.
