Connecting global financial networks to create business opportunities across ASEAN – Bangkok Bank Chairman Mr. Phornthep Phornprapha, President Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, Directors, and Executives welcomed executives and representatives from correspondent banks worldwide, as well as executives from international financial institutions that are members of the Institute of International Finance (IIF), at the “BBL Networking Reception 2026.” Bangkok Bank was the only Thai financial institution to host the event, held under the theme “Your Gateway to ASEAN & Beyond,” with the aim of strengthening relationships and expanding collaboration among financial sector leaders from around the world during their attendance at the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, hosted by Thailand.
The event underscored Bangkok Bank’s position as a “leading regional bank” and its position as the only Thai financial institution that is a member of the Institute of International Finance (IIF), an international association of financial institutions that plays an important role in fostering cooperation within the global private financial sector, as well as facilitating the exchange of information and policy recommendations on global economic and financial issues. It also demonstrated the Bank’s commitment to connecting Thailand with the global financial network through its 225 international branches across 14 key economies and worldwide correspondent banking network, supporting seamless and efficient international financial transactions, trade and investment. The “BBL Networking Reception 2026” was held at Chatrium Grand Bangkok Hotel on October 16, 2026.
