DSGPay Secures Bank of Thailand E-Payment License, Unlocking New Opportunities for Thai Merchants

DSGPay, a global fintech company specialising in cross-border payments and collections, multi-currency virtual accounts and foreign exchange solutions, is proud to announce that it has been officially granted an E-Payment license by the Bank of Thailand (BOT).

This milestone strengthens DSGPay’s regulated footprint across Asia. With the BOT’s authorisation, DSGPay is licensed to conduct payment acceptance on behalf of merchants in Thailand, enabling Thai SMEs and enterprises to collect payments from overseas and local clients’ bank accounts via local real-time payment rails and QR codes. This means Thai SMEs can receive quick and cost-effective payments from their international customers directly into their local bank accounts in Thailand, at far cheaper and faster payments than traditional credit card solutions. Funds collected will be settled into the local SME Bank account within 1-business day from overseas customers compared to up to 7-day settlements for credit card collections.

DSGPay’s payment infrastructure is designed to support businesses of every size.

SMEs can leverage the DSGPay Mobile App for easy access to cross-border collections from their foreign tourist customers.
E-commerce companies benefit from a seamless website solution that simplifies customer collections.
Large enterprises managing high-volume transactions, DSGPay offers a real-time API that enables fast, scalable, and secure integration.

All these solutions run on DSGPay’s global payment rails—an advanced, API-driven, mobile-ready platform that supports real-time multi-channel payments and collections, QR and virtual accounts, and is open banking ready across Asia.

“Being based in Thailand, obtaining an E Payment license in Thailand has always been central to our story, and with this approval, we can give local merchants, both SMEs and large corporates, the tools to expand globally and provide modern payment solutions to their foreign customers while ensuring full compliance with the Bank of Thailand’s regulatory framework. Our goal is to make international payment collections as easy and transparent as local payments,” said Dwight Willis, CEO and Director of DSGPay.

The BOT approval adds to DSGPay’s growing portfolio of regulatory licenses across Asia, including Hong Kong and Australia. Combined with DSGPay’s existing Multi-Currency Virtual Accounts, Collections, and Swift and Local Payout services in over 30 currencies, Thai businesses now have access to a powerful infrastructure designed to support both domestic and international growth.

Founded in Australia and Hong Kong in 2014 under the brand DollarSmart Global, DSGPay has evolved from providing cross-border remittance services to becoming a global fintech provider serving SMEs, corporates, and individuals.

With its newly approved E-Payment license from the Bank of Thailand, DSGPay is uniquely positioned to help Thai businesses connect with global customers, collect overseas payments, and receive settlements in THB—all within a regulated and secure framework.

DSGPay continues to build a global network of regulated payment services, delivering fast, reliable, and scalable financial infrastructure for businesses navigating international markets.
