THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026 Sets a New Benchmark for Thailand’s Food Industry, Attracting More Than 158,000 Visitors Worldwide and Generating THB 136 Billion in Trade Value

Advancing Thailand’s Ambition to Become a Global Food Trade Hub

THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026 received an overwhelming response from buyers and food and beverage industry professionals from around the world, reaffirming its position as a leading international food trade platform in Asia and on the global stage, while playing an important role in advancing Thailand’s ambition to become a global food trade hub.

Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, stated that THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026 represents another major success in driving Thailand’s food industry onto the global stage, both in terms of trade, investment, and international business networking. Throughout the five-day exhibition, buyers and business professionals from 130 countries worldwide travelled to attend the event and explore sourcing, partnership, and business opportunities.

“This year’s success reflects the fact that Thailand is not only a trusted source of high-quality food products, but also a hub connecting the global food supply chain. Despite global economic challenges, buyers from around the world continued to place their confidence in Thailand and travelled to attend the exhibition in large numbers, enabling total trade value to surpass the original target of THB 130 billion,” said Ms. Sunanta.

THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026, held from 26–30 May 2026, featured 3,590 exhibitors from Thailand and 56 countries worldwide across a total of 6,710 booths. This included 1,385 Thai companies occupying 3,503 booths and 2,205 international companies occupying 3,207 booths.

The exhibition welcomed a total of 158,243 visitors, comprising 94,685 trade visitors, including 74,305 Thai visitors and 20,380 international visitors. The top five international visitor countries were China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea. In addition, 63,558 public visitors attended the retail day.

In terms of economic impact, the exhibition generated total trade value amounting to THB 136.54 billion. This comprised immediate orders worth THB 216.61 million placed during the trade days, orders expected within one year worth THB 135.98 billion, and immediate retail sales worth THB 347.01 million on the public day. Thai exhibitors accounted for THB 94.45 billion of the total trade value generated.

The top five countries generating the highest purchasing volume were Thailand, China, the United Arab Emirates, Andorra, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the five most popular product categories at the exhibition were Fine Food, Food Technology, Drinks, Fruits & Vegetables, and Sweets & Confectionery.

THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA is jointly organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), and Koelnmesse (KM). Building on this year’s success in delivering a bigger, better, and bolder edition of the exhibition, the three organisers remain committed to further growing and strengthening the event in 2027. The next edition of THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA is scheduled to take place from 25–29 May 2027, spanning all 12 exhibition halls at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
