LINE Studio, a developer of casual games for LINE, is bringing the hit WEBTOON series “True Beauty” to the world as a mobile game. Together with Studio Lico, a subsidiary of Webtoon, LINE Studio has opened “True Beauty” for pre-registration in English, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese (traditional).
With more than 5.8 billion views since it debuted in 2018, “True Beauty” is an international phenomenon, featuring a bullied young woman, Jugyeong, as she learns how to become popular and navigates a love triangle, in a story of self-esteem, love, and learning to accept yourself.
Designed to reflect the unique style and vivid designs of creator Yaongyi, the “True Beauty” game is a match 3 type puzzle game, with users playing as the series’ main characters, Jugyeong, Suho and Seojun. Each character’s appearance transforms as the user progresses through the game, with customizable upgrades and designs. Users can compete with other players, collect outfits and special items, and engage in all sorts of special events.
Users who pre-register can receive a limited-edition green school uniform, matching the official brand color of LINE and WEBTOON. In addition, more rewards will be given according to the number of pre-registrations.
