Ornsirin Education Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Ornsirin Holding Public Company Limited, a leading property developer in Northern Thailand, is stepping into a new chapter. With an investment of over 1,000 million baht, the company proudly announces the launch of Mill Hill International School Thailand—the first premium British international school in Chiang Mai. This historic milestone marks the first expansion of Mill Hill Education Group outside the United Kingdom, signaling a new era for international education in Northern Thailand.

With over 200 years of academic history, Mill Hill School combines British educational excellence with the global vision of “Connecting the World,” aiming to develop future leaders who excel in all aspects of life under the philosophy of “Instilling Values, Inspiring Minds”. The school is set to open
on 1 September 2025.
Mr. Akkadet Udomsirithamrong, Deputy CEO of Ornsirin Holding PCL and CEO of Ornsirin Education Co., Ltd., shared his vision:
“We have observed a strong growth in the international school sector in Thailand, particularly in Chiang Mai—an expanding economic hub and a famous tourist destination that continues to attract expatriate families and Thai households. Although there are already over 25 international schools in Chiang Mai, we still see a tremendous opportunity to elevate the education toward global standards. With our experience in real estate development and a strong presence in Chiang Mai, Ornsirin is proud to support the establishment of Mill Hill International School Thailand, as part of our vision to create a complete Lifestyle Ecosystem for the students and their parents”
He continued, “Currently, there are very few institutions in Thailand officially recognized as British Branded Schools, which truly reflect one of the highest standards in global education. To address this, we’ve signed an MOU with the prestigious Mill Hill Education Group from the UK—an academic institution with over 200 years of history. This partnership brings not only the curriculum, but also the staffs and management directly from the UK, making this a major development in the region’s educational landscape.”
One of the keys to success lies in strong leadership, and to this end, Kate Simon, Head of Grimsdell and Founding Head of Mill Hill International School Thailand, has flown in directly from the UK to serve as the first Head of School in Thailand. She leads a team of educators committed to deliver an education that meets the British standards. Furthermore, Dr. Yuthachai Damrongmanee, a highly experienced figure in international education, joins as School Director, reinforcing the mission to provide quality education that meet the needs of both students and their parents.
With its authentic British curriculum and world-class facilities, Mill Hill International School Thailand offers extraordinary value—providing the same level of education as its UK counterpart but at a far more accessible tuition fee, making it an exceptional investment for the children’s future.
Kate Simon, Founding Head of School of Mill Hill International School Thailand, spoke about this strategic partnership:
“Mill Hill School was founded in London in 1807 and has developed a unique educational philosophy that has stood the test of time. As part of the Mill Hill Education Group, we’ve built a global network of school partnership, and our alumni have gone on to achieve international acclaim in various fields—including business, education, arts, sports, literature, and film. Notable names include Sir Denis Thatcher, husband of former UK Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher; actor Harry Melling from Harry Potter; legendary royal fashion designer Sir Norman Hartnell; and world-renowned historian Prof. Sir Richard Evans, among many others.
This reflects how Mill Hill School is not just about academic excellence, but about nurturing individuals who make a global impact.”
She added,
“This expansion beyond the UK is driven by our passion to find a city that aligns with our educational values—and Chiang Mai is the perfect match. As the educational hub of Northern Thailand, globally known for its culture and natural surroundings, Chiang Mai mirrors the environment of Mill Hill School in the UK that nestled amidst greenery and hills. This setting aligns with our Forest Learning philosophy, allowing us to bring true British education to this region for the first time. We’ve designed a learning experience that blends the National British Curriculum in England with Thai values and culture—equipping students with both academic knowledge and life skills essential for the modern world.”
Each year, nearly all Mill Hill alumni in London gain admission to top UK universities. In 2025, Mill Hill students achieved 23% A, 49% A-A, 79% A-B, and 95% A-C** in their A-Level results—reflecting the outstanding academic performance of this top-tier institution.
Dr. Yuthachai Damrongmanee, Director of Mill Hill International School Thailand, emphasized:
“With over 30 years in international education, I’ve seen Thailand’s tremendous educational potential—but access to world-class education is still limited. I want to clarify that Mill Hill International School Thailand is not a franchise, but a fully integrated member of the Mill Hill Education Group. This is a true testament to our commitment to deliver an education that meets the exact same standards as our UK counterpart.”
“Our educational philosophy goes beyond academics. We instill six core values: Stewardship, Resilience, Integrity, Innovation, Respect, and Creativity—to nurture our students as leaders of the future. We also introduce the traditional House System, creating small school ‘families’ where students naturally learn teamwork and leadership.”
For the first academic year, the school is accepting students from Nursery to Year 6. With popular responses—nearly 100 students enrolled. The enrollment evenly split between Thai and international families, embodying a true Global Community. The school aims to grow to 850 students by 2030, while maintaining the hallmark of Mill Hill—personalized care for every student.
Dr. Yuthachai added,
“We offer unique learning experiences that can’t be found elsewhere, such as student exchange programs with our schools in the UK—providing authentic exposure to Mill Hill’s heritage and serving as a gateway to global education. It’s crucial that great education must also be accessible. Our annual tuition fee ranges from 400,000–600,000 THB, which is about one-third the cost of Mill Hill London, yet delivers the exact same curriculum and standards. This is truly the best opportunity for families seeking world-class education without going abroad.”
Kanyanuk Rattanasatchan, School Manager, emphasized the school’s student-centric approach:
“True learning only happens when children are physically and mentally healthy, and feel safe. That’s why we prioritize health, hygiene, and safety, with purpose-built facilities and a Forest School curriculum that brings children closer to nature. Our campus includes science labs, art and music rooms, a library, indoor and outdoor sports spaces, and strict Security & Safety protocols—including access control, security personnel, CCTV, Positive Air Pressure systems, and PM2.5 sensors. We also have a professional nutritionist overseeing student meals. Every child is cared for as if they were our own.”
The school has laid out a sustainable expansion plan over the next 4 years to become a comprehensive educational institution from Nursery through Year 13. It will begin with Nursery to Year 6 in 2025 and expand to full capacity by 2028. Future plans include a state-of-the-art Sports Complex featuring an Olympic-size swimming pool, international-standard sports fields, and a modern gym—key to supporting students’ holistic development. A boarding school is also in the pipeline to accommodate future growth. This roadmap truly reflects the school’s commitment to build a world-class institution that prepares students for future challenges.
Dr. Yuthachai concluded:
“Mill Hill International School Thailand is not just a new school—it’s a gateway to a new future for Thai education. We are not here to compete, but to raise the bar and develop the next generation of leaders who will help shape a better world.”
Mill Hill International School Thailand will officially open on 1 September 2025, unlocking a new world of limitless learning—nurturing knowledge, creativity, leadership, and life skills for a secure and inspiring future.
