Green business leaders – Bangkok Bank President Chartsiri Sophonpanich presided over the closing ceremony of the “Green Transition Academy Class 2” and presented certificates to all 50 participants who graduated from the program. He also awarded prizes to winners of the business development competition who demonstrated practical strategies for reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Bangkok Bank Director Dr. Siri Jirapongphan, Senior Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool and Bangkok Bank executives also joined the ceremony to congratulate the participants on their achievements.

Winners of the “Beyond Net-Zero: From Energy Transition to Energy & Carbon Roadmap Project” business development competition were the “REAL REAL” team who presented a project on reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through advanced cooling technologies which allow precise control of energy use in different areas, waste-to-value initiatives, and enhancing hotel guest experiences through the use of ingredients sourced from within hotels and local communities. The first runner-up was the “Carbon Credit” team who presented a comprehensive approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption across the automotive industry supply chain, from upstream raw materials, manufacturing technologies, assembly processes and sales activities, to low-carbon logistics solutions for customers. The second runner-up was “๑G”, who showcased energy and greenhouse gas emissions reductions in the seafood industry by using production technologies certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), as well as the creation of value-added products from byproducts, such as fish burgers made from meat around fish bones.
This is the second Green Transition Academy Bangkok Bank has organized , with a total of 97 executives, business owners, and next-generation business leaders from a wide range of industries completing the program. In addition to gaining in-depth knowledge and practical guidance on sustainability transformation, participants built valuable business networks that support the development and implementation of actionable sustainability plans within their organizations.
