Thairath Media Group makes significant investment into MediaMagination Company Ltd

Bangkok-based MediaMagination is delighted to announce today that it welcomes Thairath Group as a significant minority investor into its business. Since September 2024, MediaMagination has been a franchise partner of Time Out Thailand and plans to invest further into the Time Out Media brand in Thailand.

MediaMagination – led by Thailand-based media veteran Nigel Oakins – is well-known for its sustainable luxury and food and drink media brands Koktail and Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants, and its expertise in producing exceptional live events and awards in the F&B space in Thailand. Included in its portfolio is Time Out – a global brand with a local voice, known for its content about the best things to do, see, eat and drink as well as shopping, entertainment and travel recommendations, all curated by a team of local expert journalists, and distributed across multiple digital and physical channels.

Thairath operates with credibility across TV, newspaper, digital platforms, and social media, and a commitment to public value; the trusted media organisation continues to shape the national media landscape and amplify the country’s cultural voice. This partnership with MediaMagination that mission by uniting Thailand’s leading news and lifestyle platforms as well as nationwide influence in news and lifestyle with Time Out’s global cultural authority. Therefore, from November 2025, the mission is to grow Time Out across Thailand, cementing it as the go-to destination for the best cultural, culinary and travel experiences for locals and tourists alike. Time Out Thailand’s coverage has expanded to include – in addition to Bangkok – Phuket, Chiang Mai and other popular destinations, offering content in both English and Thai.
