KGP joins with Asia One Click and Amadeus Thailand to launch the FareOK platform, helping travel agents transition to the digital world with a secure and comprehensive online payment system

Kasikorn Global Payment Co., Ltd. (KGP), a subsidiary of the KASIKORNBANK FINANCIAL CONGLOMERATE and a provider of comprehensive online payment systems, recently announced a collaboration with Asia One Click and Amadeus Thailand to launch the FareOK platform in a bid to revolutionize the travel agent industry in Thailand. This platform also aims to help travel agents transition from offline channels to a fully integrated online system, with emphasis placed on a “zero commission” feature that charges no commission fees to travel agents in order to support Thai entrepreneurs and help return the tourism sector to full strength. The goal is to have more than 30,000 tourism businesses participating and more than 200,000 users on the platform within the first year.

Mrs. Sirirat Thiengtham, KGP Managing Director, said that according to the Thailand Digital Outlook report by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DES), in 2024, Thais spent an average of 9 hours and 20 minutes online per day, a significant increase from the previous year. This usage spans all generations, from Baby Boomers to Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z. Popular online activities include booking transportation and accommodation, as well as bill payments. This aligns with KGP’s commitment to continuously developing electronic payment systems to accommodate the ever-changing behavior of consumers, while also building a secure financial ecosystem for all stakeholders. The goal is to reinforce its vision of being a trusted online payment provider that truly meets the needs of businesses of all sizes.

Recently, KGP, in collaboration with Asia One Click and Amadeus Thailand, launched the FareOK platform, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of offline travel agents in expanding into online services, effectively catering to the needs of consumers in the digital era. The FareOK platform stands out with its zero-commission policy, charging no fees to agents, in support of Thai businesses and the revival of the tourism sector. The platform offers a convenient end-to-end service with international security standards at every step – from strict KYC verification, and credit card transaction processing in conformity with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), to multi-factor authentication such as OTP via SMS and EMV 3-D secure, boosting transaction approval rates while effectively reducing fraud risks. Additionally, the KGP Contact Center team provides 24/7 support, ensuring smooth, secure, and fast payment processing for both businesses and consumers. The platform aims to onboard more than 30,000 tourism operators and 200,000 users within its first year.

Mr. Kittikorn Kunnalekha, Managing Director of Asia One Click Co., Ltd., a provider of online flight booking platforms for both domestic and international travel, added, “FareOK is designed as an all-in-one solution for travel agents, covering both domestic and international air tickets as well as travel insurance. We are delighted to partner with KGP to integrate diverse online payment systems into the platform, allowing agents to offer customers convenient and favorable payment options.
