NEO Corporate Public Company Limited (NEO) announced a monumental achievement, a 22% reduction in virgin plastic use, significantly exceeding its 20% target for 2025 – a full six months ahead of schedule. This remarkable feat is equivalent to removing over 85 million plastic water bottles from circulation, powerfully demonstrating NEO’s commitment to driving business growth hand-in-hand with creating a sustainable future. The company is now firmly on track to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050, solidifying its position as a true leader in FMCG innovation with a profound environmental conscience.

Kasma Torrarit, Packaging and ESG Director at NEO Corporate Public Company Limited, emphasized, “At NEO, we’ve always believed that sustainable operations are the cornerstone of a better future – not just for our organization, but for consumers and our planet. The success of this 22% reduction in virgin plastic use (cumulative from 2020-2025), surpassing our 20% goal half a year ahead of time, is a direct result of the collective dedication across our entire organization, driving tangible, impactful change.
A pivotal factor in achieving this reduction ahead of target has been the strategic adoption of rHDPE (Recycled High-Density Polyethylene). This recycled plastic mirrors the durability and performance of virgin plastic while drastically cutting new resource consumption, plastic waste, and greenhouse gas emissions. Crucially, rHDPE production demands less energy than its virgin counterpart.
“We dedicated over five years to researching relevant technologies and meticulously analyzing packaging structures for optimal material efficiency,” Kasma explained. “This also involved careful consideration of production line suitability, cost-effectiveness, and close collaboration with our suppliers. Our team’s adaptability and proactive monitoring of market trends and new technologies truly enabled us to reach this goal faster than anticipated.”
From 2020 to Q2 2025, NEO has cumulatively eliminated 1,698 tons of virgin plastic. This staggering figure translates to removing 84,900,000 600ml plastic water bottles from the system – enough to stretch 16,980 kilometers if laid end-to-end. This clearly underscores NEO’s significant positive environmental impact. Building on this success, NEO has already implemented 100% recycled packaging for several BeNice brand products and plans to extend this initiative to D-nee and Vivite brands.
Looking ahead, NEO is committed to developing highly efficient and robust packaging structures, minimizing production waste, and leveraging Bi-injection technology for bottle caps to reduce color usage and enhance recyclability. Furthermore, NEO is aggressively pursuing its 2025 target to eliminate PVC from packaging. To date, 86% of PVC has been removed from bottle caps, sprays, and pumps, 57% from product labels, and 11% from unit packaging.
Simultaneously, NEO champions its sustainability ethos through the “NEO Care” label on its packaging, embodying the philosophy: “Innovation from Core to Care.” This is complemented by an optimized approach to resource utilization, guided by the “4 Re + 1 Up” principle: Refill, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Upcycle. Beyond products, NEO extends its “Care” to communities through the “NEO CARE COMMUNITY” project, empowering local residents, fostering income generation, and sharing knowledge for holistic, sustainable change.
“Today’s achievements are clear proof of NEO’s dedication to driving tangible change across the industry, for the environment, and for consumers. This is powered by innovation and a deep commitment to sustainability, embodied in our ‘sustainNEOvation’ approach and our ambitious goal of Carbon Neutrality by 2050,” Kasma concluded.
