Hei Yin · Hong Kong Fisherman · Hong Kong Cafe

As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, three celebrated Chinese restaurants under the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani portfolio — Hei Yin, Hong Kong Fisherman, and Hong Kong Cafe — are honoring this millennia-old tradition with the launch of their meticulously crafted, super-premium Hong Kong-style Zongzi (rice dumplings). Prepared by master chefs using time-honored techniques and the finest available ingredients, these limited-edition seasonal creations offer a rare opportunity to experience the full depth of Cantonese festive culinary artistry — and make for an extraordinarily thoughtful gift.
1. HEI YIN — A Masterpiece in Every Wrap
Hei Yin, IMPACT’s acclaimed premium Cantonese restaurant located at Gaysorn Centre, invites discerning epicures to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in the most refined way possible. This year, Executive Chef Jacky — a Hong Kong native with decades of Cantonese mastery — presents the “Hong Kong Style Sticky Rice Dumpling” (喜宴棵蒸粽), a creation that transcends the plate to tell a living story of cultural heritage passed from generation to generation.
Every stage of preparation is executed with obsessive attention to detail. The dumpling is filled with a symphony of nine premium ingredients: whole abalone, conpoy (dried scallops), melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, plump lotus seeds, golden salted egg yolks, shiitake mushrooms,
top-grade mung beans, chestnuts, and Chef Jacky’s signature Kieow Ngu glutinous rice — prized for its dense, translucent texture and natural fragrance. Each parcel is hand-wrapped in fragrant lotus and bamboo leaves, then slow-boiled until every layer achieves a perfectly tender, velvety consistency. “Every dumpling I craft carries the memory of Hong Kong kitchens I grew up in. My goal is simple: when a guest unwraps it, the aroma and taste should instantly transport them to the heart of Cantonese festive tradition.” — Chef Jacky Chan, Hei Yin
Available as a luxurious dine-in experience or as an elegantly presented takeout gift, the Hei Yin Zongzi is a celebration of craft, heritage, and the art of thoughtful giving.
