Recently, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to integrate healthcare collaboration in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The agreement was made in partnership with Dr Sophon Iamsirithavorn, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Health Region 6, and Mr. Karan Tejasen, Chief Operating Officer of Medical Supplies Business at SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP), at the Eastern Economic Corridor Office in Bangkok.

This collaboration aims to modernize and enhance the efficiency of healthcare services across the EEC, covering Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao provinces. It supports the region’s economic and population growth by promoting the use of digital technology to develop a Smart Public Health system. The initiative also includes support for research and health-related data infrastructure connected to industrial development, driving investment, economic development, and social well-being in parallel.
The partnership reflects a strong commitment from all sectors to improve the quality of life for people in the EEC. By integrating resources, expertise, and technology, the initiative seeks to build a sustainable healthcare system aligned with national strategies and the country’s sustainable development goals.
