“Hisense” a global leader in home appliances is expanding its investment in Thailand with a 4.7-billion-baht project to establish the “Hisense Intelligent Manufacturing Park” inside Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate 2, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province. The new smart industrial park will become Hisense’s largest home appliance manufacturing base in Southeast Asia—particularly refrigerators and washing machines—meeting the region’s growing demand while enhancing Thailand’s efficiency and competitiveness as a production hub for CLMV markets (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam).

The project, covering more than 400 rai of land (approximately 640,000 square meters), is expected to complete its first phase by mid-2026 and will support an annual production capacity of over 2.6 million units. This investment embarks a significant milestone for Hisense in expanding its manufacturing and distribution network to meet the demands of rapidly growing markets.
Mr. Thomas Tao, General Manager of HHA Industrial Park, reveals that Hisense as one of the first Chinese companies to step onto the global stage, has continuously expanded its business with a strong focus on international markets as its core strategy. In 2024, the company set new goals of “building a world-class enterprise and achieving a world-class brand.” Hisense has advanced its “Local for Local” strategy, establishing a fully integrated global network comprising 7 operation centers, 30 R&D centers, and 36 industrial parks worldwide. Hisense has selected Thailand as one of key strategic markets for investment, serving not only as a major manufacturing base but also as an innovation hub to address consumer needs. This move supports the company’s business expansion in ASEAN and represents a critical step in enhancing Hisense’s global competitiveness.
Hisense has invested 4.7 billion baht in the construction of ‘Hisense Intelligent Manufacturing Park’ within Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate 2, Chonburi Province, covering more than 400 rai of land (approximately 640,000 square meters) and hold the official groundbreaking ceremony on 23rd September 2025. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026. With the project located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) – one of Thailand’s key strategic areas for investment and infrastructure development, the site also benefits from a supply chain that spans from upstream to downstream, as well as a complete transportation and logistics system. This allows Hisense to respond to the continuously growing domestic demand and export to CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam) quickly and efficiently.
In the first half of 2025 (January to June), Hisense (Thailand) achieved remarkable domestic sales growth of 20% compared to the same period last year, with particularly strong growth of 27% for refrigerators and 61% for washing machines. These figures reflect the potential of Thailand’s home appliance market and consumers’ continued confidence in Hisense’s quality, innovation, and services. This success has led to a 4.7-billion-baht investment to establish the “Hisense Intelligent Manufacturing Park” within Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate 2, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province”.
Hisense Intelligent Manufacturing Park is designed as a fully integrated manufacturing base, equipped with state-of-the-art automated machinery and advanced manufacturing processes and innovations in line with international standards. This setup enhances product quality and strengthens competitiveness in the market. Phase 1 of the project (2025–2026) is expected to support an annual production capacity of 2,600,000 home appliances.
“This investment expansion by Hisense also emphasizes sustainable development and environmental friendliness, from the use of renewable energy, efficient water management and waste management, to decarbonization of the manufacturing process in line with the company’s ESG mission of growing together with caring for the community and the environment. It also stimulates the labor market, creates added value for the economy, distributes income across communities, and generates more than 1,200 jobs in Chonburi Province.”
For Phase 2 investment (2027–2028), Hisense is prepared to increase the production capacity of premium large-size refrigerators, freezers, and washing machines, and will also invest in a central air conditioning system product to meet both domestic and international demand, which will enhance Thailand’s potential as a key regional manufacturing and distribution hub, strengthening competitiveness, and ensuring supply chain security. For Phase 3 (2029–2030), Hisense also plans to expand its investment to the “New Growth Curve” (S-curve) industrial fields in Thailand.
“In 2024, Hisense has already expanded its investment by 2.1 billion baht to construct the ‘Hisense Air Conditioner Smart Factory’ within SNC Industrial Park, Rayong Province, covering 98 rai of land (approximately 156,800 square meters). This project marks another significant milestone in strengthening ASEAN’s manufacturing network. The factory is expected to reach an annual production capacity of 3,000,000 air conditioners, create over 1,500 jobs for the local community, and support the local economy. These efforts are in line with Hisense’s vision to grow sustainably while contributing to the development of local communities and Thai society, reflecting strong confidence in long-term investment in Thailand” Thomas Tao concluded.
