GC Pharma, South Korea’s largest publicly traded biopharmaceutical industry assigned Green Cross Genome Corporation (GC Genome), the leading genomic diagnostic company, to expand its clinical genetic testing sector in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Chang-Seok Ki, MD, PhD, Representative Director of GC Genome and Mr. Tathas Sutthinoon, CEO of Touchpoint Group (TPG), a sustainability consultancy company specializing in healthcare marketing and technology, participated in the MOU signing ceremony through a virtual MOU session at GC Genome Headquarters in Gyeonggi, South Korea and TPG Office in Bangkok. An exchange of mutual cooperation between business partners on technology for “personalised genomic solutions” creates investment opportunities, along with supporting joint Go-to-Market execution under ‘Genetics Thailand’.
This partnership is a joint service for Thais. Genetics Thailand has launched a Down-Syndrome testing service, diagnosing chromosomal abnormalities under the brand ‘G-NIPT’ (Non-Invasive Prenatal Test), together with ‘I-SCREEN’, with a testing accuracy of up to 99.99%, certified by College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) accreditations.
G-NIPT has been ranked number one among leading hospitals across South Korea. Amidst a strong team of specialists in genetic diagnosis, G-NIPT has now expanded its service throughout Thailand. In addition, G-NIPT also provides home (and other on-site) service with result report lead time within 5 business days to relieve the pregnancy concerns for all mothers.
