DIESEL is pleased to announce that BTS wore seven custom looks designed by Creative Director Glenn Martens for the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG”. Each member of the band wore an individual custom DIESEL look during the Chicago date of the tour on August 27th.
For the occasion, Glenn Martens reinterpreted DIESEL’s house codes through bold proportions, experimental material treatments and signature denim techniques, creating a distinct custom look for each BTS member. Conceived to reflect each artist’s individuality while forming a cohesive wardrobe on stage, the seven looks explore the dialogue between denim, leather, tailoring and utility that has defined Martens’ creative direction at DIESEL.
RM wears an oversized denim suit composed of a relaxed shirt and matching jeans, showcasing DIESEL’s exclusive in-house denim dévoré technique.
The process creates the appearance of heavily distressed denim while revealing glimpses of skin beneath, transforming traditional denim destruction through textile innovation. A faded black long-sleeve Henley T-shirt with tonal buttons completed the relaxed silhouette.
Jin wears an oversized black leather suit composed of a generously cut blazer and straight-leg trousers, translating DIESEL’s contemporary approach to tailoring through an unexpected dialogue between formal construction and leather.
Underneath, a faded black cotton jersey long-sleeve T-shirt features whisker-inspired patterns along the sides, subtly referencing DIESEL’s denim heritage, while black boots extend the monochromatic silhouette.
SUGA wears a sculptural leather jacket defined by dramatic creases and exaggerated three-dimensional volume, creating a powerful sense of movement. A minimalist cotton tank top featuring DIESEL’s iconic Oval D is paired with relaxed leather trousers with an elasticated waistband and loose proportions. Black boots complete the silhouette, balancing the experimental outerwear with an effortless attitude.
j-hope wears a painted and creased leather biker jacket with a distinctive stone-like texture and sculptural cocoon-shaped neckline. Matching low-rise leather trousers feature integrated protective knee panels inspired by technical motorcycle gear. A deep scoop-neck tank top and black boots complete the look, balancing its architectural construction with an effortless attitude.
Jimin wears a black coated-denim trench coat and matching straight-leg trousers, styled with black leather ankle boots and a metal DIESEL logo belt. An off-white sleeveless jersey dévoré top continues the exploration of destruction and sensuality introduced throughout the collection.
V wears an off-white coated denim trench coat with straight-leg coated denim jeans and a jersey dévoré tank top, the outerwear transforms a timeless denim staple through contrasting coatings that create a distinctive cracked finish. The jeans continue the treatment in a contrasting wash, bringing a sharper, tailored attitude to traditional denim. The jersey dévoré tank top features a signature technique, creating the appearance of fabric naturally burnt across the body and blurring the boundaries between destruction and sensuality. Black boots ground the off-white silhouette, completing the look.
Jung Kook wears a painted leather jacket and matching trousers, heavily creased to achieve a distinctive stone-like surface from which the DIESEL logo emerges organically. Together, the pieces exemplify DIESEL’s experimental approach to material manipulation. A black short-sleeve T-shirt featuring the iconic Oval D logo completes the look, grounded by black boots.
