This reinforces the partnership to bring high-quality Japanese series to Thai audiences at nearly the same time as their broadcast in Japan, creating an experience that seamlessly integrates content, platforms, and fan communities.
In an era where the streaming market competition is measured not only by the volume of content but also by the speed of access and an experience that meets audience demands, TrueVisions NOW x NTT DOCOMO are advancing their strategic content partnership between Thailand and Japan through the “Lemino Japanese Collection” on the TrueVisions NOW app. High-quality Japanese series are delivered to Thai audiences within the same week as their Japanese broadcast, complete with Thai subtitles and Thai dubbing. This reinforces a collaborative model that seamlessly connects content, platforms, and fan communities. The partnership continues to deliver experiences from the streaming platform to on-site activities at NIPPON HAKU BANGKOK 2026, a grand Japanese festival held from August 28–30, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The highlight is the new season of “VIVANT,” an action-adventure blockbuster series featuring a thrilling, life-staking secret mission, which creates a space for Thai fans to get up close with the actors and creators and experience the story through activities designed specifically for engagement.
From Simultaneous Viewing with Japan to a Comprehensive Content Experience
The collaboration between TrueVisions NOW, NTT DOCOMO, and Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) began implementing the “Simultaneous Viewing with Japan” concept in July 2026. This was achieved by broadcasting five Japanese series in Thailand at nearly the same time as their Japanese release under the “Lemino Japanese Collection,” with the new season of VIVANT from TBS serving as a flagship content.
VIVANT returns to build on the success of its first season, which aired in 2023, featuring action-adventure and mysterious global missions. The new season establishes a deeper connection with Thai audiences by using Thailand as a key filming location and featuring a Thai actor. This reflects the power of content to bridge the creative industries, cultures, and fan bases of both countries.
A major highlight at NIPPON HAKU BANGKOK 2026 was the Special Stage Panel, which allowed Thai fans to meet Ryusei Ryo, who returned as Kotaro Shinjo; Ohm-Tanapak Jongjaiphar, a Thai actor playing a new character in this season; and Producer Iida, the mastermind behind the project. Fans could listen to behind-the-scenes stories up close, with Ryota Moisture hosting the session.
Furthermore, the TrueVisions NOW x NTT DOCOMO – Lemino Japanese Collection booth brought the world of VIVANT to attendees through activities and a Stamp Rally mission with prizes from the series. This transformed viewers from screen watchers into active participants in the story, reflecting a modern content marketing approach that merges digital platforms with on-site experiences to expand content discussions and foster long-term fan community engagement.
Connecting Global Content to Thai Audiences
In addition to VIVANT, viewers can follow four other Japanese series spanning various genres, available to Thai audiences at nearly the same time as in Japan:
- MY PERFECT EVENING DRINK SEASON 5 – A feel-good series from TV Tokyo that tells the story of an office worker who seeks her favorite meals and drinks as a reward after work, updated every Thursday.
- First Cry – A medical drama from Nippon TV highlighting the critical missions and decisions of obstetricians to protect the lives of both mother and child, updated every Sunday.
