Bangkok, Thailand (13 July 2026) – This Mid-Autumn Festival, JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok introduces its 2026 mooncake collection from the award-winning Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, presented in a keepsake box inspired by the auspicious legend of the Eight Horses.
Designed as a meaningful gift for the season, this year’s collection draws on the symbolism of the horse in Chinese culture, long associated with vitality, perseverance, and success, while also celebrating 2026 as the Year of the Horse. The motif of eight horses carries an added layer of auspicious meaning, with the number eight closely linked to prosperity and abundance, making the design a fitting expression of well wishes for the festive season.
Rendered in a refined blue-and-white palette inspired by the artistry of Qinghua porcelain, the box brings together heritage and contemporary elegance. Across its surface, the horses move gracefully through an illustrated landscape, evoking momentum, harmony, and the journeys that bring loved ones home. The design reflects the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a cherished occasion when families and friends gather beneath the full moon to celebrate reunion and togetherness.
Offering a sophisticated alternative to traditional festive palettes, the keepsake box pays tribute to one of China’s most celebrated decorative traditions. Inside, the collection features four signature mooncake flavors: Monthong durian with egg yolk, five whole grain nuts with egg yolk, chestnut macadamia, and black sesame.
