Tea & Tipple at Centara Grand at CentralWorld introduces the Sea Soul Afternoon Tea, a limited-time experience created in collaboration with Avalon. Drawing on the beauty of the ocean, Avalon’s Sea Soul Collection, and Thailand’s seasonal produce, the afternoon tea brings together playful sea-life creations, delicate pastries, and savoury bites.
Created in collaboration with Avalon, the jewellery house that has spent more than three decades transforming natural materials into contemporary designs, the afternoon tea takes its cue from the brand’s Sea Soul Collection. Through the collection, reclaimed seashells are reimagined as handcrafted jewellery pieces that celebrate the beauty of the ocean while encouraging a more thoughtful appreciation of natural resources. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creativity, craftsmanship, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
Served from 14:00 to 17:00 hrs, the experience invites guests to slow down and enjoy an afternoon shaped by soft pastel colours, coastal motifs, and thoughtfully crafted flavours. Seahorses, shells, marine creatures, and coral-like details appear throughout the presentation, transforming the traditional afternoon tea into a celebration of ocean-themed artistry.
The sweet selection features a collection of handcrafted desserts including a Vanilla White Chocolate Jellyfish Truffle, a Seahorse Chocolate Cake, and a Madeleine with Chocolate Shell. Guests can also enjoy an assortment of shell-shaped macarons with green tea, blueberry, and vanilla fillings, alongside ruby chocolate, dark almond chocolate, and blue rice yoghurt chocolate creations. Additional chocolate pieces modelled on marine creatures include caramel-filled shrimp, raspberry mint turtles, and fish filled with dark chocolate ganache.
Balancing the sweet selection is a range of savoury bites, including Smoked Salmon Mille-Feuille with Avocado and Cream Cheese, Pan-Seared Foie Gras with Onion Jam, a New England Lobster Roll, and Smoked Turkey with Gruyère Cheese and Cranberry Jam.
Designed for sharing, the Sea Soul Afternoon Tea reflects the spirit of summer through seasonal ingredients, imaginative presentation, and a sense of light-hearted indulgence. Reflecting the creativity and craftsmanship behind Avalon’s Sea Soul Collection, the experience brings together design, flavour, and storytelling in a way that encourages guests to pause, connect, and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
Available daily until 31 July, from 14.00 to 17.00 hrs, the Sea Soul Afternoon Tea is priced at THB 1,490++ per set for two persons, including a selection of coffee or tea.
