centralwOrld is transforming its space in the heart of Bangkok into a ‘Creative Playground’ launching ‘Art Commune’, a new space where art is not just something to see, but a place where people can live life together under the concept of ‘Where the Creative wOrld Comes to Play’, highlighting centralwOrld’s reputation as a global cultural landmark.
The ‘Art Commune’ is a new kind of creative space that allows artists, creators and art lovers to meet, exchange ideas, collaborate and engage in real-life activities together. It’s not just an art exhibition space but an ‘Open Space for Creative Exchange’ that brings together diverse activities including painting, ceramics work, art toys, handmade crafts and accessories, as well as a variety of workshops, live painting and music performances that will be presented on a rotating schedule under the concept of ‘Art as Everyday Culture’. The Art Commune makes art accessible and an integral part of daily life while providing opportunities for emerging artists and local creators to showcase their work and grow together, following a community-led engagement approach. The Art Commune will serve as a meeting point for urban people who intentionally visit to connect with others through art, and integrate creativity into their daily lives.
Bringing together the new generation of creators to develop a Creative Community
At the Art Commune, discover work from many different styles of artists and creators, who will visit the venue on a rotating schedule, such as Spirulina Society, Kimipoko Studio, FrameLab Bangkok, Cone No.9, A Clay Ceramic, Banana Blah Blah, Feiphet.merch, BAAN MAEW MAEW, SalapaoAngel, Sandier. From 24-26 April 2026, meet with Patpixels, AnimaToey Watercolor, Ottan and the Uncles, senyung, Sprinkle on cake, The bake cottage, Kotch.bu, dojodooodle, Thipok.psd, Jhamfong Art, Shaping Dreams by Supicha, double-T, NAM.NI.ANG and more. These artists will present their works that cover art, crafts, art toys and lifestyle items that reflect the outstanding signature and identity of each individual artist.
Dynamic Experience, with a new experience in every visit
The major highlight for the Art Commune is to establish a Dynamic Experience through a rotating schedule of different activities and art works to ensure freshness in every visit, which encourages repeat visits to search for new inspiration and fulfil the needs of the urban lifestyle. This also ensures that our shopping centers are beyond a shopping space, they are a ‘Centre of Life’, where art and creativity occur daily through all kinds of creative activities such as painting, live portraits, workshops, the making of zine books, paper collage and DIY character design (Terms and conditions and costs apply, depending on each activity, please inquire for more information at the activity points).
