- Reinforcing Thailand as a strategic ASEAN hub
- Highlights AUMOVIO’s full-stack automotive technology portfolio across hardware, software and services
- Showcases the company’s vision to shape the future of safe, exciting, connected and autonomous mobility
AUMOVIO today officially presented itself as an independent technology company in Thailand, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ASEAN journey and reinforcing Thailand’s role as a strategic hub for growth, collaboration and future mobility innovation in the region. The company was formed as the spin-off of the former group sector Automotive from Continental in September 2025. Built on a strong global foundation and decades of automotive expertise, the company is helping shape the next era of mobility through technologies that make driving safe, exciting, connected and autonomous.

The event reflects AUMOVIO’s long-term commitment to Southeast Asia and its ambition to work even more closely with customers and partners across the region. As the automotive industry continues to evolve toward connected, intelligent and software-defined vehicles, Thailand is playing an increasingly important role in enabling closer collaboration, faster execution and stronger regional deployment across ASEAN.
Mr. Peter Rankl, ASEAN President, AUMOVIO (THAILAND), said, “Today reflects our commitment to accelerating growth in ASEAN through solutions spanning hardware, software and services. We are ready to work closely with customers and partners to speed development and real-world deployment, supporting the shift toward connected and software-defined vehicles, while continuously raising standards for safety and user experience”.
AUMOVIO brings to market a comprehensive full-stack portfolio across hardware, software and services, organized into four core business areas. Autonomous and Commercial Mobility (ACM) provides scalable solutions for assisted, automated and autonomous driving, as well as commercial and special vehicle applications. Architecture and Network Solutions (ANS) enables value-driven vehicle architectures through high-performance computing, zonal architectures, connectivity and telematics, operating systems and middleware, edge ECUs, and integration services. Safety and Motion (SAM) delivers integrated safety and motion control technologies, including braking systems, airbags, sensors and electronic air suspension. User Experience (UX) focuses on in-car differentiation through digital clusters, display solutions and head-up displays.
At the heart of this portfolio is AUMOVIO’s “Road to Cloud” ecosystem, designed to enable end-to-end software-defined vehicle development. Connecting operating systems and middleware, over-the-air updates and cybersecurity, high-performance computing and zonal architectures, telematics, sensors, actuators, ECUs, displays, as well as vertical and cross-domain integration and cloud-based development and collaboration frameworks, the ecosystem helps OEMs accelerate development and unlock a new generation of safe, connected and future-ready mobility solutions.
To mark its official debut in Thailand, AUMOVIO also presented the innovation aspects featuring selected next-generation technologies that demonstrate how future mobility is becoming more intelligent, intuitive and seamlessly integrated into real-world driving experiences. Among the highlights were scalable autonomous trucking solutions developed in partnership with Aurora. The companies will jointly design, develop, validate, deliver, and service a scalable autonomous system for the trucking industry.
The system is expected to be available for carriers and commercial fleet operators across the U.S. and to help reduce costs to facilitate broader adoption. Automated parking technologies designed to make advanced parking functions easier and more intuitive to use in everyday scenarios, helping drivers confidently navigate curved sections, narrow spaces, parallel slots and other complex parking situations. In addition, AUMOVIO presented its approach-detection and deviceless access solutions, which combine ultra-wideband radar, AI algorithms, existing vehicle sensors and camera-based sensor fusion to create a more intuitive, secure and convenient vehicle access experience.
Further highlights included AUMOVIO’s next-generation brake system roadmap — a four-stage modular portfolio from wet to full-dry braking, including brake-by-wire development — designed to enhance driving dynamics, enable independent brake force control, extend EV range and reduce maintenance. The company also showcased its window projection technology, which transforms side windows into display areas for personalized, real-time content, opening new possibilities for communication, interaction and user experience.
Beyond its innovation portfolio, AUMOVIO brings considerable scale and market strength to support long-term growth. The company works with virtually all relevant incumbent and new-entrant OEM clients globally, backed by a strong technology foundation, a broad partner ecosystem, and a global footprint combined with a local-for-local setup. In FY2025, AUMOVIO achieved the adjusted consolidated sales of €18.5 bn with the adjusted EBIT margin of 3.9 percent, while around 80% of sales came from product areas holding top 1–3 market positions globally, underscoring the strength of its portfolio and the confidence customers place in its technologies.
Looking ahead, AUMOVIO will continue advancing its strategic program, “Lead Transform Deliver” The strategic pillars are designed to strengthen the company’s leadership in future-proof technologies, including software-defined vehicle solutions, transform the organization through efficiency and operational excellence, and deliver through disciplined execution, transparency and reliable performance.
AUMOVIO reaffirms its long-term commitment to ASEAN and its ambition to help shape the future of mobility in the region through technologies that are safe, connected, intelligent, and ready for what comes next.
