Cherry Blossom Desserts Bloom

JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok marks the arrival of the Sakura season with a limited collection of cherry blossoms–inspired desserts at Bangkok Baking Company (BBCO). The seasonal pastries draw on Japan’s celebrated spring tradition, translating the delicate flavors and soft hues of cherry blossoms into refined patisserie creations, available from now – 31 March 2026.

March marks the beginning of the Sakura season in Japan, a time associated with renewal, fleeting beauty, and quiet celebration. Inspired by this tradition, BBCO presents a dessert collection that reflects the soft colors, floral aromas, and gentle textures of cherry blossoms in bloom. Each pastry combines traditional Japanese elements such as matcha, yuzu, mochi, and sakura with contemporary patisserie techniques.

The Sakura dessert selection features five creations. The Matcha Cheesecake with Mochi Skin pairs creamy matcha cheesecake with sakura pear compote and a delicate mochi layer over a graham cracker base. The Sakura Strawberry Shortcake brings together vanilla sponge, sakura strawberry cremeux, strawberry confit, diplomat cream, and Chantilly cream for a light, balanced finish.

Chocolate lovers can enjoy the Nama Sakura Chocolate Cake, made with chocolate fudge sponge layered with nama chocolate ganache, sakura ruby chocolate whipped ganache, and raspberry jam. The Cassis & Fig Mont Blanc combines fig cake, cassis cremeux, sakura cassis blueberry confit, chestnut cream, and meringue on a brown sugar tart base. Completing the collection is the bright Sakura Yuzu Tart, featuring hazelnut frangipane, yuzu sakura jam, yuzu curd, and raspberry yuzu whipped ganache.

Presented in soft pastel tones reminiscent of a Japanese garden in bloom, the desserts capture the delicate spirit of Sakura season while offering a contemporary pastry experience in the heart of the city.
