Summer Palace, the award-winning Cantonese restaurant at InterContinental Bangkok, unveils an extraordinary seafood showcase this season: the Typhoon Shelter Lobster Mountain, available from April through June 2026.

Inspired by the vibrant culinary heritage of Hong Kong, Typhoon Shelter cuisine traces its origins to fishing communities who sought refuge in protected harbour inlets during seasonal storms.
From these humble beginnings emerged a bold and aromatic seafood cooking style defined by high-heat wok-frying and a robust combination of golden garlic, chilli and fermented black bean sauce.
Reimagining this iconic preparation on a spectacular scale, Summer Palace presents an impressive three-kilogram “mountain” of premium Boston lobster. Each lobster is expertly wok-fried to achieve a fragrant, savoury finish, generously coated in crisp garlic, vibrant chilli and rich black bean sauce. The result is a dynamic interplay of natural lobster sweetness, savoury depth and gentle heat — delivering layers of flavour and texture in every bite.
Designed as a centrepiece for the table, the Typhoon Shelter Lobster Mountain is ideal for family gatherings, corporate entertaining and celebratory occasions. Both theatrical and indulgent, the dish brings the spirited essence of Hong Kong’s harbour-side cuisine to the heart of Bangkok.
The Typhoon Shelter Lobster Mountain is available at Summer Palace from 1 April to 30 June 2026 for lunch (11.30 to 14.30 hours) and dinner (18.00 to 22.30 hours). The 3kg Lobster Mountain is priced at THB 8,600 net.
