KTC recently hosted “KTC FIT Talk 22: Because of Love – Plan Today, Leave No Burden Behind”, emphasizing the importance of mindful life planning amid rising uncertainty affecting modern workers. The forum encouraged the public to express “tangible love” by preparing for health, financial, emotional, and unexpected life challenges—ensuring that individuals and their loved ones are not left with overwhelming responsibilities. The event also underscored KTC’s commitment to Holistic Employee Care and its goal to build a Happy & Safety Workplace as a foundation for long-term organizational sustainability.

Dr. Nittha Uerarimith, Founder of Koon Hospital, Thailand’s first specialist hospital in palliative care, highlighted that palliative care is often misunderstood as end-of-life care. In reality, it is a holistic approach that begins early in the course of a serious illness. Suffering during vulnerable moments does not come only from disease. It also comes from a lack of acceptance and communication. Preparing the heart is as important as preparing legal or financial documents. A peaceful farewell begins with a peaceful mind. Private-sector partnerships play a crucial role in expanding knowledge and access to advance care planning. Koon Hospital has partnered with KTC to offer health-related privileges to help reduce financial burdens and encourage early preparation among Thai families.
Ms. Pinchada Phongnopakun, Founder of Baojai Family and a certified death planner, encouraged participants to reframe death as a natural part of life. “Everyone has the right to a good death. Preparing in advance—both practically and emotionally—helps keep loved ones from carrying unnecessary burdens. “Baojai Book,” a tool that helps individuals communicate their care preferences, legal wishes, and emotional messages. She previously conducted a pre-death planning program for KTC employees, during which participants were deeply moved to reflect on their relationships and express love to their families.
A personal story was shared by Ms. Kattarin Prayukwittayathan, an early-stage cancer survivor and founder of Chomphiny essential oils. She recalled facing two major crises at once: her cancer diagnosis and the collapse of her business. “The first question I asked myself was: If I’m gone, what will happen to my family? Preparing while we are healthy is a gift we can give ourselves and the people we love.” Her experience inspired her to diversify her finances, review insurance policies, and establish systems that would protect her family in the event of a crisis.
Representing Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC), Ms. Sutprathana Damrongchaitham, Head of Human Resources & Organization Development Division, shared KTC’s belief that organizational sustainability begins with genuine care for its people. “Employees are family. We cannot separate work from life, so we focus on Work–Life Integration to ensure employees don’t carry invisible burdens while working.”
KTC’s holistic employee-care model includes age-based health checkups, mental-health programs, psychological-safety initiatives, coaching, HR Clinic support, financial literacy, and structured end-of-life preparation resources. “Before trying not to burden others, we must make sure we are not a burden to ourselves. When employees feel supported, they are empowered to deliver better service and face the future with confidence.”
