UOB Thailand and KBank provide green financing to Levanta Renewables for acquisition of 34 Solar Power Projects in Thailand

UOB Thailand and KASIKORNBANK (KBank) have jointly extended tailored green acquisition and structured financing to support Levanta Renewables in its acquisition of 34 solar power projects nationwide, completed through to two separate deals.

The transactions, backed by Actis, a leading global sustainable infrastructure investor, mark a significant step forward in advancing Thailand’s renewable energy transition and the broader regional shift towards sustainable power generation.

With a combined generating capacity of 230 megawatts, the 34 solar power projects, will supply clean energy under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) of Thailand. This initiative underscores the country’s commitment to increasing renewable energy’s share in the national energy mix and achieving net zero carbon emissions.

These transactions highlight investor confidence in Thailand’s renewable energy market and support the reinvestment of capital to advance the nation’s clean energy transition.
