Melia Chiang Mai has unveiled an extravaganza of feasts, fiestas and culinary treats for the months of December and January in celebration of Christmas and the New Year.

Warm those winter evenings with the hotel’s signature festive mulled wine, infused with seasonal spices and a touch of Christmas charm. Traditional Christmas season melodies create the perfect festive mood at the Ruen Kaew Lounge, daily from 5pm – 10pm.

● Tea & Tinsel Afternoon Tea 1 Dec 2025 – 31 Jan 2026

Melia Chiang Mai’s Festive Afternoon Tea is a delightful harmony of sweet and savory Japanese favorites with holiday-inspired treats. Each set is served with Melia Blossom or sparkling wine, and a choice of freshly brewed coffee or tea. The venue is the 21st floor Mai Restaurant & Bar, daily from 2pm – 5pm. The price of THB 1,599 net per set for two persons includes two glasses of Melia Blossom or sparkling wine.

● Spanish Gastronomy Series 1 Dec – 5 Dec 2025

Madrid-born Chef Juan Ignacio García Racionero has previously been chef de cuisine at the one MICHELIN-starred Saddle, as well as Diverxo, recognized in the top three ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ in 2023. Visiting Chiang Mai for this week only, he aims to lavish guests with a banquet of Spanish cuisine.

● Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet 24 Dec 2025

This symphony of flavors will feature roasted whole turkey, honey-glazed ham, unlimited Japanese poke bowls, sushi and sashimi, and handcrafted Christmas desserts. This feast of joy will include live melodies and a surprise appearance by Santa Claus with gifts for the little ones. This lavish buffet is on from 6pm – 10pm at the ground floor Laan Na Kitchen. ● Beats & Baubles Christmas Eve Party 24 Dec 2025

Dance to DJ beats and sip festive cocktails on Chiang Mai’s highest rooftop at MAI The Sky Bar for this one-night-only fun-filled fiesta. Tickets are 600THB per person, which includes one complimentary cocktail, and the party takes place from 6pm till midnight.

● New Year’s Eve Symphony Buffet 31 Dec 2025

Celebrate the last night of the year with music and a lavish international buffet at Laan Na Kitchen from 6pm – 11pm. The buffet will include carving stations, live cooking and special festive desserts. The price is THB 2,999 net per person and THB 1,599 net for children (5 – 11 years). The evening can be enhanced with an additional “free flow” package of drinks.

● NYE Countdown Party at MAI The Sky Bar 31 Dec 2025

The Chiang Mai skyline will be illuminated from the highest rooftop bar in the city with high-energy DJ sets, live bands, cocktails and a spectacular midnight fireworks display. Tickets are THB 3,000 per person, including a THB 1,500 net credit on food & beverages, from 7pm – 1am.

Visiting from Indonesia where he is currently Head Chef of the Gran Melia Jakarta’s restaurant, ERRE & Urrechu, Chef Alejandro García Martín brings his signature blend of Mediterranean elegance and modern technique to Chiang Mai. Chef Alejandro will also host a Sky & Vine Finale on Jan 9 with a vibrant closing night featuring the guest chef’s curated menu paired with wines, alongside live DJ and band entertainment at the Upper Deck.
