Cape & Kantary Hotels is set to unveil the newly renovated “Panwa 2 Bedroom Pool Villas” at Cape Panwa Hotel, Phuket in late October 2025, just in time for the upcoming 2025–2026 Holiday Travel Season, to welcome visitors to Phuket, one of the world’s most renowned dream destinations. All six villas, each featuring a private pool, have undergone a complete transformation which was inspired by the timeless beauty of the ‘Panwa House’ – a 100-year-old Sino-Portuguese house, an iconic identity of the Cape Panwa property, blended seamlessly with modern comforts and amenities for a truly elevated tropical getaway.

Mrs. Tirawan Taechaubol, Business Owner and Project Development Manager for Cape & Kantary Hotels, emphasized the group’s ongoing commitment to enhancing all 23 properties across Thailand.
“We prioritize delivering exceptional guest experiences, which is why we continually develop not only our hotel facilities – including guest rooms, restaurants, cafes, spas, and function spaces but also invest in staff training to ensure warm, attentive, and genuinely Thai hospitality. These three pillars – service, people, and product – must evolve together to consistently meet the needs and lifestyles of today’s travellers. These elements shape the unique identity that keeps our guests coming back,” she explained.
“For the Cape Panwa Hotel renovation, I was personally involved in the design of the new pool villas. We drew inspiration from ‘Panwa House’, a century-old heritage mansion located on the beachfront of our property. Each villa reflects the charm and character of Panwa House, showcasing the Sino-Portuguese aesthetic through clean architectural lines, vibrant colour palettes, and a tropical flair influenced by the coastal and island cultures of Southeast Asia.”
Mrs.Tirawan explained further, “The design theme centres around the green colour, which serves as a storytelling thread throughout the space – from the delicate wood fretwork on doors, windows and walls to the carefully curated decorative elements within the villa. Eye-catching ceiling fans with palm-shaped blades offer a playful contrast to the green geometric patterns adorning the roof structure. Inside, the interiors come alive with appliances and decorative items featuring unique designs from South Asian countries, creating a tropical atmosphere and adding charm, warmth, and vibrancy to the space. Enhancing a touch of Thai heritage, the space is anchored by carved wooden furniture inspired by early ‘Rattanakosin-era’ artistry. The villas also offer expansive living spaces with two bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom, a separate living room, a private pool and a sun terrace, providing the ultimate in relaxation and privacy.”
Each villa’s design pays tribute to the historic ‘Panwa House’, blending century-old Sino-Portuguese architecture with the tropical vibrancy of Southeast Asian Island essence. Shades of green – the signature colour of Panwa House – unify the interior, from the doors and window frames to the geometric ceiling patterns, creating visual harmony throughout. Delicately carved wooden fretwork adorns the eaves and interiors, complementing the tropical-themed décor. Highlights include wrought-iron seating with playful patterns, rattan and natural wood furniture, and brightly painted carved wooden chairs from India – along with a wide array of decorative items from across South Asia. These contemporary tropical elements are artfully integrated with early ‘Rattanakosin-era’ inspired pieces – such as intricately carved four-poster beds, oversized wood-framed mirrors, and hand-carved wooden tables and cabinets from Chiang Mai and Lampang Provinces – creating a refined blend of tradition and modernity. The space also features carefully curated materials and decorative items sourced from skilled artisans and local producers across Thailand, including ceramics from Ratchaburi Province, handcrafted terracotta tiles from Chiang Mai used in the bathrooms, and woven textiles from Khon Kaen Province, among others.
Our guests can expect exceptional service, state-of-the-art amenities and an atmosphere designed to inspire moments of joy and discovery – from small surprises in the décor to the serene comfort of their surroundings.
“We have designed these villas for both families and groups of friends seeking an exclusive and private retreat. With 138 square meters of space, the layout ensures that every guest has room to unwind. The living room and master bedroom opens directly to the private pool and terrace, allowing guests to enjoy swimming all day long.”
Mrs. Tirawan added, “We have also renovated the ‘Top of the Reef restaurant’ at Cape Panwa Hotel and completely reimagined its culinary concept to reopen the restaurant in late October 2025 as well. We remain committed to evolving Cape Panwa Hotel into a global destination for discerning travellers during this Holiday Travel Season.”
