Enlit Asia 2025 Concludes in Bangkok, Setting New Benchmarks for ASEAN’s Energy Transition

Enlit Asia 2025, the leading platform for the ASEAN power sector, concluded today at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), wrapping up three days of discussions, innovative showcases, and strategic collaborations aimed at advancing Southeast Asia’s energy future. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to address critical challenges in power generation, grid modernisation, clean energy, digitalisation, and financing.

Enlit Asia 2025 attracted 12,000+ attendees with the exhibition floor featured 350+ exhibitors, showcasing advanced technologies across the power value chain. A total of 113 sessions were held, including Knowledge Hub Theatres, Summit Streams, and the Nuclear Forum, providing comprehensive coverage of ASEAN’s energy priorities. Thailand’s progress was highlighted as a model for the region’s energy transition.

The event served as a catalyst for key industry advancements. Through the Business Matching platform and networking app, attendees facilitated strategic partnerships, exploring opportunities in renewables, smart grids, and sustainable energy solutions. Dr. Veerapat Kiatfuengfoo, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Energy, reflected on the outcomes: “The partnerships forged at Enlit Asia 2025 will accelerate Thailand’s leadership in regional grid advancements and sustainable energy innovation.” Similarly, Pongsakorn Yuthagovit, Deputy Governor (Planning and Engineering) of the Provincial Electricity Authority, noted: “Digitalisation is transforming our approach to sustainable energy solutions, enabling smarter grids and greater energy efficiency across ASEAN.”

Day 3 of the Summit focused on Digital Transformation, featuring sessions on digital infrastructure investments driving decarbonisation, open standards for seamless data exchange, digital twins and predictive analytics for asset management, AI and machine learning applications for utilities, and strategies for DER integration and grid resilience.

The Knowledge Hub Theatres continued with sessions on AI & Digitalisation, Energy Markets, Policies and Regulation, and Flexible, Resilient & Connected Grid, offering practical insights into optimising power generation and renewables.

On the exhibition floor, participants demonstrated innovative solutions in energy efficiency, sustainable power generation, smart grid technologies, and renewable energy. Attendees engaged with leading industry players, including Trilliant, Kraken, Black & Veatch, Mitsubishi Power, and GE Vernova, while exploring products tailored to meet ASEAN’s energy needs.

Enlit Asia 2025 captivated global attention, securing widespread coverage from top-tier regional and international media outlets. The Power & Energy Awards, held on September 9, 2025, during the opening night’s gala dinner, celebrated trailblazing achievements in ASEAN’s energy sector. Standout winners included EGAT for its ENZY Platform, which is an energy management platform for hierarchical multi-layer microgrid with RE100 network profile and PT PLN (Persero) for its Green Hydrogen Power Plant project that drives the energy transition, with projects earning accolades for their transformative impact. The awards spotlighted innovation, sustainability, and leadership across categories like Renewable Energy & Sustainability, Smart Grid, and Executive of the Year, reinforcing Enlit Asia’s role as the region’s benchmark for excellence.
