The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) unveiled the highlights of MHESI Fair 2025 Day 3 with ‘Mythophobia’ – ‘ASEAN Ghosts’ from Ghost Universe to Metaverse, presenting ghost stories from 7 ASEAN countries through Immersive Room Experience technology, creating new experiences and spaces for game and horror story enthusiasts by blending cutting-edge technology with cultural heritage. The event also features the ‘Giant Board Game – Bangkok Road’ from Traffy Fondue, a game that lets everyone take on roles and collectively solve major problems in the capital city of Bangkok, as well as ‘The Nexploration Valley’ booth a space for self-discovery and future skill development presented in the form of a snakes and ladders game. The “MHESI Fair 2025: SCI POWER FOR FUTURE THAILAND” has officially begun. This year’s event is held under the concept “Creators of Tomorrow,” creating a space for participants to exchange knowledge, experiences, and build cooperation in various dimensions to develop Thailand toward a sustainable future. Among the key highlights of the MHESI Fair is the Mythophobia or ASEAN Ghosts’ project, – 5 cultures from 7 countries, from Ghost Universe to Metaverse by the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC). Visitors will experience and discover ghost stories through Immersive Room Experience, which takes viewers on a journey to Thailand’s future through innovations that seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology with Thai ways of life. The Mythophobia or ASEAN Ghosts’ project recognizes the value and significance of shared ghost cultural characteristics among ASEAN countries and the potential for transforming ASEAN ghost cultural capital into the metaverse. It creates new experiences for game enthusiasts and those interested in ghost stories, leading to community building in both virtual and real worlds by presenting ‘ghost’ stories from the cultures of 7 ASEAN countries Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The event also features the ‘Giant Board Game Bangkok Road’ from Traffy Fondue, a game where everyone takes on roles and collaboratively solves urban problems along routes filled with obstacles such as broken streetlights, potholes, overhead power lines, and sidewalk vendors through dice rolling and obstacle navigation, creating constructive learning about urban issues. This is presented by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in collaboration with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).
Additionally, for those seeking self-discovery and career success guidance, visitors can participate in The The Nexploration Valley by the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO). This opens up a space for self-discovery and future skill enhancement to find pathways to career success. Inside The Nexploration Valley booth, visitors will learn about recognizing evolving human resource development challenges, approaches and policies supporting Thais to meet future world demands through the JOURNEY PLAYGROUND activity, learning the importance of various careers through a snakes and ladders game. Everyone can experience and discover new opportunities with all three activities at ZONE D: VALLEY OF GROWTH – Innovations for the future of Thaienterprises.
Interesting main stage activities include MHESI Driving Muay Thai to World Boxing, telling and conveying the story of Muay Thai arts to the world stage. The activities conclude with a mini concert that will entertain everyone with songs from TINN, a solo male artist from LOVEiS Entertainment, owner of the song ‘Wan Tee Ter Mai Yoo (Farewell)’ who will bring happiness to everyone at MHESI Fair 2025.
On August 12, 2025, there will continue to be many interesting activities including the Astronomy Quiz Competition Finals competing for the Royal Trophy graciously bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, International Mor Lam performances and the Great Mor Lam Festival, as well as the workshop “Storytelling with Impact: How to Tell Stories that Capture Your Audience” by Mahidol University. Mother and child pairs can attend the good discussion from the Alpha Skills x The Standard stage on the topic of raising children to ‘understand and apply’ while being ready to cope with the digital world, featuring Dr.Varoth Chotpitayasunondh,Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health and Spokesperson of the Department of Mental Health,
