AirAsia Flies New “Airbus A321neo” for First Time on 13th January!

Now flying… AirAsia has become the first airline in Thailand to serve flights with the new Airbus A321neo 236 seats airplane now flying Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hat Yai with a second plane to begin flying 18th January on select routes between Don Mueang and Surat Thani, Phuket and Khon Kaen, offering travelers with a completely new kind of seat featuring USB charging ports for every passenger.
CEO of Thai AirAsia, Santisuk Klongchaiya, explained that "AirAsia added 2 Airbus A321neo planes to its fleet in early 2020. The energy efficient planes are eco-friendly while measuring 6.9 meters longer to accommodate up to 236 seats (up from 180 seats in the Airbus A320), adding not only greater comfort but even more opportunities to fly on popular routes, benefiting both passengers and AirAsia's business.
With the Airbus A321neo, we are looking to offer all of our passengers a new and improved experience. The new cabin seats better accommodate passengers and all come with their own USB charging ports for the first time along with a side table and front table that can be adjusted for the perfect placement of a smartphone. We are sure our passengers will appreciate these features"
The Airbus A321neo is also more environmentally friendly with improved fuel efficiency at a rate of 23 percent per seat compared to the Airbus A320 and even generates less noise pollution. AirAsia has plans to continually acquire Airbus A321neos to underline itself as a sustainable airline that builds new business opportunities at the same time as being environmentally and socially responsible.
For its first 2 Airbus A321neo airplanes, AirAsia will be debuting them on selected domestic routes. The first will fly Don Mueang to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hat Yai from 13th January 2020 onward while the second will begin service on 18 January 2020, flying Don Mueang to Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, Phuket and Khon Kaen before being added to even more destinations. Those interested in experiencing the Airbus A321neo can find out more about its service on AirAsia's Facebook page, where all updates will be made available.
