The new IKEA catalogue is here!

Get ready to furnish your way to a better sleep
It's no secret that a happy and healthy sleep is the key ingredient to a fresh start every morning. The new IKEA catalogue is centred on this restful activity. It comes packed with simple bedroom decoration ideas that will bring about a relaxing night and help you make the most of your time at home. In addition to the new catalogue launch, IKEA Thailand will unveil four key focuses it will use to inspire the many people across Thailand throughout the year: Easy change, Easy Renewal; Store & Organise; Sleeping/Complete comfort in the bedroom; and Living with children.
Mr. Tom Suter, Store Manager, IKEA Bang Yai, wants to remind everyone of the importance of sleep, explaining that, "The global average for hours slept has fallen from eight to a little over six. This is partly because people these days tend to focus on working their way to become successful at work and spend less and less time to rest. For IKEA, and this is based on science, rest – especially sleep – is the beginning of better everyday living as it helps reset mental and physical functions making you ready to start the new day refreshed as well as contributing to a happier and healthier life."
This year, IKEA is encouraging everyone to change their mindset and reset their bedroom atmosphere, starting with the simple "Easy Renewal for Better Sleep" theme. Fun in-store activities will be organized to welcome the new catalogue as well as inspire the many people in Thailand to start paving the way for a better sleep by refreshing their bedroom decorations. Giving your room a new look doesn't need special occasions such as Christmas, or Chinese New Year or even grand changes. You can easily spend time on weekends resetting your home atmosphere with tons of ideas and items from the new IKEA catalogue that will inspire you to come up with endless possibilities with only a small budget. As small as they might seem, these easy changes can spark creativity and positive energy, improve your everyday life at home, and make you ready to start fresh every day.
The new IKEA Catalogue features tips that help customize everyone's space at home for a perfect sleep. All of the selected ideas are simple, from changing the pillow case, sheets, adding curtains, blinds, lamps, plants or even a glass of water to modify your room in order to provide a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, thus allowing you to enjoy a restful sleep all night long.
Easy techniques to update your bedroom's look
Light: Curtains or block-out blinds give you better control of sunlight, thus, allowing you to have a longer and deeper sleep.
Sound: Soothing music contributes to a more pleasant sleep. For those who sleep in a shared bedroom, textiles, drapes, and a rug can help dampen sound to avoid disturbing others.
Comfort: Cushy headboards, plump cushions, and soft sheets all help, but the most important thing is to choose a pillow that supports your head and sleep position. The right level of comfort and softness can enhance your sleep and have you feeling refreshed when you wake up.
Every year, IKEA's designers around the world work together to study in-depth consumer information collected from conversations, research, and home visits to understand and find new ways to enhance inspiration and produce products that serve the demands and changing lifestyles of people worldwide. This resulted in the Life at Home Report, which includes valuable information and serves as key content in the IKEA Catalogue each year. This year, for the first time, IKEA is unlocking the hearts of people in the current generation on how they identify their place as a "home." IKEA developed a code consisting of five core emotional needs: belonging, ownership, security, comfort, and privacy. These five core emotional needs create the feeling of "home" as its definition in this report doesn't only mean a space to live in, but also any other place that can fulfill these five core emotional needs.
Five core emotional needs to make the most of "home":
Belonging is about feeling you are a part of a group of people who accept you for who you really are as well as places that reflect you. IKEA offers multiple furniture ranges helping you manage shared spaces so you can focus on getting along and having fun.
Ownership isn't just about deeds and mortgages, it's about having a sense of control over the space and place where you live (even if you rent). IKEA's storage solutions allow you to create and organize your space the way you want.
Security is about feeling safe and grounded which goes beyond the locks on doors. An easy solution to make your home feel cozy and secure is to choose furniture made of natural materials, such as wood, metal, and glass.
Comfort is about feeling content and at ease in your surroundings, and finding ways to feel more like "you" in your home.
Privacy isn't about living in isolation, it's about having control over where and how you can disconnect and reflect in a place you share with others, even when there isn't much space to spare. You can still find ways to relax, recharge and get a good night's sleep, or disconnect from disorder by using functional furniture that provide smart solutions in managing your home space.
