AirAsia, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep and Bangkok Aviation Center (BAC) affirm the success of the fourth year of their Student Aircraft Mechanic program by opening admissions for a fifth class this 1 -30 June, 2019, taking on students to accommodate the continued growth of the aviation industry and opening their doors to graduates of both engineering degrees and Technical Certificates, offering classes and practical training headed by real experts in a short one year course unlocking opportunities in a variety of companies and the option to immediately join AirAsia.
Mr. Banyat Hansakul, Head of Engineering for AirAsia, pointed out the aviation sector's continued growth has led to heightened demand for "Aircraft Mechanics", those entrusted with ensuring the total safety of airplanes. He explained AirAsia joined hands with internationally certified agencies to launch its Student Aircraft Mechanic program, which trains students in basic aircraft repair and maintenance and provides practical lessons bolstered by On the Job training. The course produces quality aircraft mechanics specifically tailored to the needs of AirAsia and AirAsia X but also allows graduates to continue on to other companies. Students receive a stipend and benefits from AirAsia throughout their training.
The 5th Student Aircraft Mechanic class is now open to graduates with bachelor's degrees in engineering or those with Technical Certificates in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics. A guidance event for the 5th Student Aircraft Mechanic program was held on 9 June, 2019 at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, receiving keen attention from a large number of students.
