Brand Stars Selection Committee announces ‘2018 The Representative Brand of Korea-wave’

          The Brand Stars Selection Committee has announced the top representative Korea-Wave brands of 2018.
          The top brands were simultaneously announced across major media channels in China and other Asian countries to connect consumers with high quality Korean goods and services to ultimately improve customer satisfaction, as well as providing adequate information.
 
          The selection was done by first combining customer and media reviews from major sites including Google and Baidu, then through academic and specialist analysis for the final selection process. The selection focused on tourism, cosmetics, food, health and shopping -- the major categories popular across consumers in many Asian countries.
 
          Jeju island, Myung dong and Hong-dae street in Seoul took the spotlight in tourism and industrial representative products. The Samsung Galaxy Note series, LG's Whisen and Tromm, Lemona of Gyung Nam Pharmaceuticals, OB Beer's Cass and Dong-A Pharmaceutical's Bacchus all took the lead.
 
          Lotte Duty Free and Department stores, Doo-ta Mall and ABC Mart were selected as representatives in the "shopping" category; The Nanta Show and The Sky Water Show drew attention in the "concerts and shows" category.
 
          The History of Fo, Sulwhasoo and Innisfree Bio-medical's Medytox were selected for the "K-Beauty" category; Olive Young in the "Beauty Shop" category; LG Pra.L for its certified hardware production technology in the "Home beauty device" category.
 
          Paris Baguette, Lotteria, Bibigo, Banana-Milk, Ottugi Cup Rice and Domino's Pizza were selected as "popular brands"; Bul Dak Bbokummyeon and Sinjeon Tokppoki were selected to represent Korea's traditional spicy flavours.
 
          The "healthcare medical tourism" category is represented by Cha Hospital in general care, Gangnam's St.Peter's Hospital for spinal specialists, while Jung-Gwan Jang and Frombio were chosen as the representative of "health food" brands; and Bodyfriend took the final spot for "massaging equipment".
