TCC HOTELS GROUP PLANS TO INVEST 15 BILLION BAHT IN THAI HOSPITALITY REINFORCING ITS CONFIDENCE IN THE INDUSTRY

TCC Hotels Group believes in the growth of Thai hospitality industry and will invest over 15 billion Baht in the next 3 to 5 years as it enters into management agreements with Marriott International for 7 hotels with a total of 3,000 rooms.

Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, President of TCC Hotels Group said, “We expect to invest around 15 billion Baht including a major upgrade of hotels in high potential locations such as Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Hua Hin. Our investment plans support the confidence we have in the hospitality, tourism and MICE market of Thailand. With the realization of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), we anticipate even higher demand as Thailand will become a strategic location of the region.”
TCC Hotels Group currently owns and manages 46 hotels in 11 countries. The collaboration with Marriott International will increase its portfolio to 51 hotels by 2018 - with 5 new build hotels and 2 conversion hotel projects.

“We plan to expand our hotel portfolio with Marriott International in a number of destinations. We have great confidence in Marriott International’s global network and their expertise in managing convention and meetings business.” said Wallapa.
The flagship brand of the Group is Imperial, one of the first Thai hotel brands, and has been widely known for over 3 decades. TCC Hotels Group is determined to preserve the identity of the Imperial Brand and to strengthen its offering through a rebranding plan for a number of properties both in Bangkok and other provinces. The key concept of the Imperial brand is the “Uniqueness of Thai” to provide guests with a total integrated Thai experience. Besides its warm and friendly service hospitality integral to the Thai culture, the new Imperial brand will also include design that highlights the character of each hotel’s location and features authentic Thai service and Thai cuisine.
“While having a strong commitment to the strengthening of the Imperial brand, the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, located in the middle of Sukhumvit, will be transformed into a modern and grand hotel under Marriott International’s management, with the global network and standards to serve tourists and international convention delegates alike. This transformation will complement the exciting growth of retail business in the area.” Wallapa added.
