‘CHEERITY’ shop, share, cheer and support local businesses together at Central Embassy

With the determination to help society and support local businesses, Central Embassy had opened up areas from Level G to Level 6 (OPEN HOUSE), for business operators and those affected by COVID-19, to sell their products without rental fees, during the first phase of 'CHEERITY: Let’s Cheer up together’ event. With over 150 shops and six partners including Praew magazine, BKKMENU, SpicyDisc, Intersect Design & Factory, students, and Ruam Jai Market - Thais helping Thais by Central Group, contributing to create opportunities and support SME entrepreneurs, farmer groups, and communities during the five days event from the 26th - 30th of August 2020.

There were plenty of fundraising activities for celebrities and the public to join in, with part of the proceeds going to the Chaipattana Foundation through the Tiang Chirathivat Foundation to promote the development of welfare, to aid people in economic hardship and to provide a better quality of life and self-sufficiency.

The delightful atmosphere of shoppers who came to the different booths and participated in the charitable activities have made 'Cheerity’ a memorable event for all the participants and attendees including, Anucha Ocharoen, GM Marketing of Central Embassy, and our partner groups, Achara Wisuttiwongrat Head of corporate marketing - CENTRAL Group, Siriphen Phalanchai Executive Editor Editorial Chief of Praew Magazine, Ruangrod Sringam Managing Director of Intersect Design Factory Company Limited, Danaiya Khemasmitt Co-founder / Managing Partner of BKKMenu Company Limited.

Held under the theme 'Pink Syndicate', the 'CELEBRITY AUCTION & MARKET with PRAEW magazine’ on Level G features brands and stores from celebrities such as M.R. Mannarumas Yukol, Butsakorn Wongpuapan, Krirkphol Masayavanich, Karatphet Issara, Vasu Sakulanunt, Kingkan Salakonthanavat, Rachayada Chaiyachote, Mark Thawin P Saiotong, Panitipad Peerapattanakul and many more who brought their products to sell. Specially designed T-shirts were made for this event priced at 350 Baht, with part of the proceeds going to the Chaipattana Foundation.

More than 100 items of quality products from farmers, communities and SME entrepreneurs were sold at the 'Ruam Jai Market - Thais helping Thais by Central Group’ on Level 2, under the theme 'Green House’, following 'Rebuild Thailand, Rebuild Economy’ by Central Group’ which aimed to help to revive the economy by creating jobs and improving incomes. With highlighted products such as: Spicy Chili Paste with crab eggs and crab meat; the only product in the country produced by female volunteers for community development in the Bang Kaeo Subdistrict, Phetchaburi Province; Sweet Pounded Unripe Rice from the Ban Non Muang Community Enterprise Group, Maha Sarakham Province, made from sticky rice and processed locally; Eco-friendly handmade bags from WISHULADA presented artwork to support the environment; Simple, unique design bags from SALETE that reveal the beauty of silk and woven fabrics with a new perspective; and Handmade crafts from Good Goods, presenting Thai wisdom mixed with contemporary design in their products including shirts, bags, and other accessories.

On Level 3, the 'STUDENT MARKET SQUARE’ brought you over 20 shops from New generation entrepreneurs and university students under the concept of 'Red-ucation’, offering a wide variety of products such as fashion accessories, household products, snacks and beverages. Then, indulge in a variety of delicious menus and sweet treats from over 60 restaurants and cafes that are famous on social media selected by the food & lifestyle leader, BKKMENU at the Food Market on Level 4 and 5, under the theme 'Yellow Mellow’. The line-up includes Rosrudee, Midnight Madness, PASH Juices, KOKOPAN, and Greenlicious.

Venture up to OPEN HOUSE on Level 6 and discover the Creative Flea Market held under the theme 'Blue Print' by Intersect Design & Factory, discovering handmade products, home decorations, art pieces, accessories, and chic and stylish products. Find your musical vibes and chill with the band, as they serve soulful songs in an awesome atmosphere.

Other activities were available for everyone to join, such as the 'Cheerity Photo Booth’ on Level 3 and the 'Cheerity Workshop’ on Level 4 and design your own apron pattern with a donation of 100 Baht for each activities, with all proceeds going to the Chaipattana Foundation. From joining these two activities, you will receive 2 stamps through our LINE @CentralEmbassy app which can be collected and exchanged for a free mask strap valued at 100 baht (limited to 300 prizes). For the people who wore matching dress codes with their preferable theme-colour to the event (pink/green/red/yellow/blue), receive a free Life Quest keychain as a souvenir! You can also enjoy posing at the 'Cheerity Stand’ on Level 6, a photo-inspiring landmark where everyone can make their visit even more memorable.

There is more fun to come on 29th and 30th August, 2020,12 - 6 pm at the Cheese Pie Cake Workshop, where you can decorate and design your very own.

Not only that, celebrity couples such as Jimmy - Karn Kritsanaphan, Tommy - Sittichok Pueakpoolpol, and Zee - Pruk Panich from Why R U The Series bringing their favourite possessions to auction on Saturday, 29th August, 4 - 5 pm. On Sunday, 30th August, from 4 - 7 pm meet Boun - Noppanut Guntachai, Prem - Warut Chawalitrujiwong, Ohm - Thitiwat Ritprasert, and Fluke - Natouch Siripongthon from the TV series, 'Until We Meet Again’. To end the event, do not miss Yin - Anan Wong and War - Wanarat Ratsameerat from the TV series, 'En of love'. Also, enjoy the mini-concerts from Non Thanon, Earth Patravee and artists from SpicyDisc, including 60Miles and Rooftop between Saturday – Sunday, from 1-4pm.

Browse through a premium product selection from over 40 stalls at the 'SACICT PLEARN CRAFT’ event on the second phase, 7 - 13 September, 2020 organised by The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (SACICT), in collaboration with Central Embassy and Central Department Store under Central Group. An open space will be provided for Thai master artisans and handicraftsman, bringing with them the beauty of Thai handicrafts, adapted to an urbanised lifestyle.
