Avaya Energizes APAC Partner Community With Go-To-Market Transformation Strategy

          Newly announced strategies bring together a complete ecosystem of alliances, enabling Avaya's APAC channel partners to increment and amplify the value of their Avaya business. 
          Avaya Holdings Corp. (NYSE: AVYA) energized its APAC channel partner community this week with announcements on its quickly growing ecosystem of technology partners and a renewed focus on solution-selling. 
          The strategies were delved into at the Avaya Partner Summit 2019 in Bangkok, where the company is currently hosting over 300 of the APAC region's leading channel heavyweights, market movers and technical and sales leaders.
          The growth strategies discussed at the Summit are based on three key pillars – an intense focus on the cloud, a greater emphasis on solution and application selling, and newly announced innovations that provide partners with growth opportunities to leverage. 
          "Our own growth is inexorably linked to the growth of our partners, meaning that our strategies need to align with those of our partners if we're to succeed in our goals," said Fadi Moubarak, Vice President – Channels, Avaya International. 
          "Avaya wants its channel partners to continue growing – pure and simple. As a result, in 2019, we're making it easier than ever for our partners to propose and implement market-leading, fully formed solutions for their customers – in the cloud or on-premise. Regardless of the tier they occupy on the Avaya Edge Partner Program, every Avaya channel partner will have access to these solutions, helping them to increment and amplify the value of their Avaya business."
          One of the major new strategies demonstrated to Avaya Partner Summit visitors included the Avaya & Friends program, which comes as an answer to the challenges that Avaya's channel partners face when providing their customers with innovative technologies. The initiative brings together different categories of partners, operating across various partner programs such as DevConnect and A.I.Connect, so that their vertical-specific technologies can be easily integrated and deployed on our Avaya's platforms. Indeed, the advanced solutions available through Avaya & Friends have already been pre-integrated with each other, saving channel partners the hard work while also unlocking the potential of each individual application.
          Alternatively, Avaya's open ecosystem can be leveraged by channel partners to build their own solutions. With many of Avaya's most successful partners having built new innovations on top of Avaya's platforms for their customers, Avaya is rolling out new tools and APIs that enable and encourage channel partners to take the lead on innovation. 
          Meanwhile, Avaya's go-to-market transformation places a heavy emphasis on empowering channel partners to more easily roll out cloud-based products as cloud adoption continues to skyrocket. With offerings for both the mid-market and the enterprise, Avaya's range of cloud-based services continues to expand, and is expected to provide significant growth opportunities for both large and small channel partners in 2019. 
          These measures, combined with updates to the Avaya Edge partner program, will provide a path for channel partners to move from one value proposition to more advanced ones. Through these updates, channel partners will be able to more easily move from box-shifting to solution selling, from solution selling to innovation building, and from innovation building to enabling true business transformation. 
          Avaya has already made significant progress in growing partner business over the past year. Between 2017 and 2018, the number of partners eligible for rebates increased by 281%, and there was a 159% increase in the number of partners who had seen more than 10% growth. The company's strategy for 2019 will be to build on these positive results. 
          "When it comes to our channel, we want to build on what we achieved with our partners in 2018. We introduced the Avaya Edge partner program, which provided better incentives, greater flexibility to grow and respond to emerging market needs, and bigger investments in channel training," said Moubarak. 
          These strategies, and more, are being demonstrated at the Avaya Partner Summit 2019, taking place in Bangkok from February 26 to 27, 2019.
