Business Objects, an SAP company, and the world’s leading provider of solutions that optimize business performance, announced that Credit Bureau (Singapore) (CBS) has selected the BusinessObjects XI platform to drive its new Credit Pulse Hub. This Web-based information library lets users access required information via a secured Web browser instantly at any time. The BusinessObjects XI platform, together with the analytical power of Crystal Reports and Xcelsius software, helps Credit Bureau provide information quickly and effectively, putting more flexibility into the hands of users.
“At CBS, Singapore’s consumer credit bureau, information from 5.8 million accounts are being updated on a monthly basis to help credit providers make better lending decisions quickly and more objectively,” said William Lim, executive director, Credit Bureau (Singapore). “Business Objects will enable us to deliver information to our customers with accuracy and integrity, providing our members with flexible data at their fingertips.”
The BusinessObjects XI platform provides CBS with a full spectrum of business intelligence (BI) capabilities ranging from analysis to dashboards and analytics. Crystal Reports and Xcelsius allow users to create, manage and distribute flexible, feature-rich customized reports. CBS already has more than 15 Singapore-based financial institutions using its services. With the introduction of Credit Pulse Hub, CBS expects more members to benefit from the ability to view data from different perspectives and decide how they want to work with the analytics, using the information to make strategic business decisions.
“This is the start of a journey,” said V.R. Srivatsan, vice president, South Asia, Business Objects. “As Credit Bureau’s offerings to its customers become more dynamic, the portfolio of business intelligence solutions that we have can be leveraged to adapt to these changes and provide enhanced value. Financial services remain our number-one industry, and working with CBS provides further validation that companies in the industry are relying on Business Objects to deliver accurate and insightful information for optimal decision-making.”
