The Support Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand and the Costume Design Committee organize “Khon performance : episode of Prommas” following Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s command to create a new set of costume for Khon since 2007 to continue the craftsmanship in mask-making, embroidery, goldsmith, silversmith, and the art of dramatic makeup. The production is to preserve the originality of Khon which is one of the most important national heritage and to give an opportunity for the new generation to appreciate the art of Khon. The selected episode “Prommas“ composed by Prince Narissara Nuwatiwongse. Will be performed by leading artists from the Office of the Music And Drama, The Fine Arts Department, Ministry Of Culture, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, and Bangkok College of Dramatic Art which is scheduled during Friday 19th and Saturday 20th, June 2009 at 7.30 pm. Music is performed by Phiphat Ensemble of the Fine Art Department on Sunday 21st June, 2009 at 2 pm. a nd 7.30 pm. by the Royal Thai Army Band at the Auditorium, Thailand Cultural Center.
Tickets can be purchased at any Thai Ticket Major counter from 15 May at prices of 200, 400, 600, 800 baht and special price of 100 baht for students. |
