Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s Technical Department recently received the “Requalifier Identification Certificate” from the United States Department of Transportation (DOT).
Flt. Lt. Montree Jumrieng, THAI’s Managing Director of Technical Department, said that the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration under The United States Department of Transportation has granted the “Requalifier Identification Certificate” to THAI’s Aircraft Component/ Accessory Repair Department. The certification signified quality of THAI’s Aircraft Emergency Equipment Maintenance process, which achieves international standard via several equipment measures such as Oxygen Cylinder, Fire Extinguisher Container and Aircraft Pressure Vessel. Also THAI’s Technical quality service was certified by high-skilled technicians, safety in the workplace and due to implementation of staff manual and training.
This achievement confirms that THAI always emphasizes on international quality and standard, to be in line with the company’s strategic plans. The internationally – recognized DOT Certificate provided the Technical Department more maintenance projects conducted on Aircraft Emergency Equipment for customer airlines, which is another source of revenue for THAI.
Apart from this achievement, THAI’s Technical Department was recognized in various International Standards such as Federal Aviation Administration – FAA, European Aviation Safety Agency – EASA, ISO 9002 and ISO 14001. Moreover, THAI’s Technical Department will continually develop its services to meet international standards and maintain quality standards in the international airline industry.
